In their article, Ferris et al. Furthermore, the modifiable factors that lead to inappropriate care are identified and analyzed in the study.
The results of the research point to the fact that inappropriate care is caused by structural factors. The latter, in turn, produce the phenomena of burden and fragmentation, therefore making decision-makers omit important information when determining the strategies for managing the target population’s needs. Therefore, clinician–patient partnerships should be utilized to address the specified issue and prevent further instances of inappropriate care from happening.

However, by far the most important and innovative idea that Ferris et al. (2018) present concerns the methods of improving the coordination of actions within a multidisciplinary group of health experts.
The idea of promoting interdisciplinary cooperation has been the focus of attention in the healthcare setting for a while, yet its implementation has been rather flawed due to miscommunication issues. Therefore, the fact that Ferris et al. (2018) introduce a set of seemingly viable solutions to the specified issue seems invigorating since it opens new horizons for further improvements of healthcare services. The specified discovery re-enforced and empowered me to seek new chances for managing the needs of vulnerable groups.

Apart from discovering a solution to one of the common concerns in healthcare, the research by Ferris et al. (2018) gives me a chance to make my future practice even more successful. Specifically, the study outlines the significance of a multistakeholder approach in nursing as a general framework for addressing the needs of a particular group, which is an important point to make. To address a nursing issue in a particular patient, one has to contextualize the problem in question by considering a range of issues including not only health-related ones but also ethical, social, cultural, economic, and technological concerns.
For the same reason, it is critical to take account of various stakeholders involved in the process of managing the issue. For instance, information about family members often become not only a crucial piece of data to consider but also an essential part of the therapy process. The article, in its turn, explains how the specified information, even with the multiple areas from which it comes, can be incorporated into the health management process.
Furthermore, the described insight leads to the recognition of the necessity to foster cross-disciplinary cooperation. The specified phenomenon has become an issue in the nursing environment due to the tension and conflicts between nurses and physicians (Stratil, Rieger, & Voelter-Mahlknecht, 2018). Therefore, the information about the means of reinforcing cross-disciplinary cooperation is undeniably valuable to a nurse who tends to the needs of a diverse population and ha to work in a team. Thus, the paper by Ferris et al. (2015) has provided a plethora of useful information that can be incorporated into my future practice.
