Background
The performance assessment involves a formal or informal test in which the student demonstrates the acquired skills. The assessment of academic performance suggests evaluating the possibility of applying acquired skills, rather than mechanical memorization (Shelly Swope, 2020, 00:02:30-00:02:40). The most competent application of performance assessment is project training. The application of practical skills related to solving real problems allows students to gain valuable experience. Project work allows students to develop the skills of critical thinking, creativity and responsibility.
Project on Assistance in Socialization of Disabled People
The work of students in social projects allows them to adapt to life in society. A project to help people with disabilities in socialization can be useful for both students and society. It is planned to develop a project that will facilitate the socialization, help overcome loneliness; it is necessary to appeal to organizations that provide social protection. Such a project will assess students’ communication skills, ability to plan and organize.
Project to Improve the Infrastructure of the District
The development of improving the infrastructure of the district will address the skills of space organization, critical thinking and communication with government agencies. A student project can be aimed at improving living conditions, creating an accessible environment, organizing leisure time for citizens. Within the framework of this educational activity, students can develop both creativity and apply theoretical knowledge. This project will evaluate the analytical abilities of students.
Anti-Cyberbullying Project
This project activity will allow students to develop strategies to counter bullying in social networks. It is possible to create an initiative group monitoring social networks and stopping bowling, as well as providing assistance to victims. As part of this project, students will develop the ability to provide emotional support and develop personal values. The project on countering cyberbullying will evaluate the skills of non-standard thinking.
Using Portfolio Assessment
The portfolio score is used as a measurement of the learning process effectiveness. The portfolio goes beyond standard testing and provides examples of the student’s skills and competencies (Graig Refugio, 2021, 00:01:00-00:03:10). The contents of the portfolio may include drawings, photographs, samples of works (Sir Chan, 2021, 00:01:00-00:02:10). The portfolio can be used most effectively to evaluate individually-oriented programs. The portfolio contributes to understanding whether a student needs special help in learning, what should be paid attention to, what personal qualities to develop.
