There is no wonder that in the 21st century having hard skills is not enough. Hard skills are the knowledge and skills specific to a work that employees require to carry out their obligations successfully. On the other hand, soft skills are the character traits that enable workers to succeed at work. It has been stated that an individual’s values, personality traits, ambitions, and preferences increasingly influence job development (Jong, et al., 2019). In my view, each person should pay attention to their qualities in order to improve as a professional and a human being.
I believe that I have certain qualities to enhance my future professional relations. I am a responsible person who always keeps his word. I am convinced that this quality is crucial to building trustful relationships with other people. In addition, I think such a quality as being open allows one to discover many new opportunities in life. I have never faced any difficulties meeting new people since I believe we can learn something new from each new connection. Also, by collecting different professional experiences and networking, one can get a chance to find a community where to improve even the hard skills. However, the characteristic that could hinder my relationship with others is that sometimes I struggle with staying focused. Later it could lead to the fact that I am not fully updated on the situation at work, but I am always making it up later.
To sum up, there are many more characteristics to be analyzed, but it is necessary to improve professionally and personally. I believe that the more I try to develop skills to build trustful relationships with people, the easier it will be to resolve any communication problems.
