In the world of productive personnel management, almost every supervisor among professional quality workers especially appreciates and emphasizes creativity. The creativity of the staff is gradually acquiring more and more important in the daily creativity of each employee and the effectiveness of the collective work of employees on projects in general. This quality is most often met by an employer in a variety of resumes when recruiting personnel. In the workplace, our team faced a huge problem with developing a new idea regarding the further reconstruction of duties among employees. We had 15 members in our team, however, four of the workers decided to leave last year. All of them were exceptional workers who set out an example to others. One of them was responsible for the creative management of the work. Furthermore, with the emergence of the pandemic, half of the office needs to move to remote work. I am not sure whether the move to work at home would affect the performance and teamwork positively. As a supervisor, I have to come up with quick and effective decisions which would help out my colleagues to continue working as a team and keep a creative attitude at home.
Most of the demand for creative ideas is observed in research and development, marketing, and advertising. However, creative employees will come in handy in all areas of an organization’s life. Creative ideas are capable of overturning the established traditions of an organization, and the usual opinions of people (Boss, 2017). The introduction of innovations will optimize and do the work of even employees involved in accounting and financial reporting. Everyone has the ability for creative work, they just need to be properly developed (Peng et al., 2017). Creativity depends on personal experience and skills, talents, the ability to think outside the box, and the ability to see what they do not see (Boss, 2017). In order to develop the creativity of employees, I need to create an appropriate work environment and use effective methods of staff motivation.
The colleagues can also brainstorm remotely. For this, brainwriting is used where each team member individually generates ideas during or before the brainstorming session. Disconnect all conference participants for ten minutes and ask them to think about their own ideas and write them down. Then everyone shares their thoughts at the same time by uploading them to the collaboration platform. Furthermore, it is possible to raise engagement by giving different types of tasks to different people to stimulate creativity.
In creative work, money is far from the most important thing. Here, the key factor in staff motivation is the employee’s desire to work or not the desire to work. Employees who are inspired by their work will be creative in their responsibilities, and employees who think too often about financial bonuses tend to show a low degree of creativity. If the leader wants to increase the creativity of the team and make the creative teamwork of employees on projects, he or she must shield his employees from everything that interferes with creativity (Peng et al., 2017). This may be unnecessary haste, an atmosphere unfavorable for creativity in a team, or rough criticism of colleagues. At the same time, I must create a favorable psychological climate in the team, freedom of creativity, teamwork of employees, effective communication within the team, and fairly evaluate the work of each employee.
