The field of health psychology makes a significant contribution to understanding the concept of health and the healthy behavior of people. For practice, the theory has some valuable implications as it emphasizes the importance of taking individual care measures to ensure a safe workplace. This includes aspects related to workplace comfort. For example, stress reduction is one of the main categories that the theory addresses, providing employees with a clear understanding of how they can improve their work environment to reduce their risk of burnout.
The theory emphasizes the importance of creating a favorable working environment, in which the ethical component of the team must be sufficiently justified to maintain a friendly atmosphere (Kirmayer and Gómez-Carrillo, 2019). Thus, for practical purposes, the theory provides an understanding of how it is necessary to embody corporate moral standards to maintain high levels of moral satisfaction among employees. Health Belief Model

One theory to consider is the Health Belief Model (HBM), a widely used framework for promoting health. Moreover, this concept provides a basis for predicting potential negative influences that may arise in the workplace. Because of this, HBM is not a one-size-fits-all solution and can be more effective in conjunction with other important concepts.
Theory of Planned Behavior
The Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB), which focuses on relationships between people, can also be considered necessary for consideration. This concept encompasses a broader range of circumstances and provides methods for identifying negative aspects in the field of mental health in the workplace (Abbasi et al., 2021). One of the significant drawbacks of this concept is the reliance on self-report data. In this regard, the human factor plays a significant role, which can interfere with the collection of objective research data. Thus, the development of intervention strategies is significantly more complicated since the initial data may be incorrect.
Social Cognitive Theory
Social Cognitive Theory (SCT) also examines stress and mental health issues in the workplace. In this concept, primary attention is paid to the study of patterns of human behavior, as this aspect can help better understand the reasons behind any actions. The study of socio-psychological motives for specific actions can be useful, as it determines how threat factors influence the development of mental health problems (Govindaraju, 2021). In this regard, after the exact identification of problematic points, the theory provides essential recommendations for correcting the situation from a cognitive perspective.
Stress and Coping Models
Another critical element that needs to be critically evaluated to understand its use is the Stress and Coping Models. These models offer a comprehensive understanding of how individuals perceive stressors. Thus, due to the implementation of this method, it is possible to achieve much more efficient and progressive work with the team (Herman, Reinke, and Eddy, 2020). Identifying the underlying causes of increased stress can be helpful in further eliminating these factors. It, in turn, can have a positive impact on the productivity of medical staff, as they will be able to independently identify those aspects in practice that need to be changed.
Biopsychosocial Model
The Biopsychosocial Model may be another concept that should be considered, as it suggests meaningful relationships between specific actions and their consequences for the psychological state of the worker. The hallmark of this model is that it offers a holistic approach that can be helpful in maintaining all aspects of psychological well-being interact with physical health (Bolton and Gillett, 2019). Thus, we can say that this concept is the closest to the psychological theory of health. Its weak side is the potential difficulties in implementation, which may affect the performance in practice. Thus, this concept should be applied in such a way as to comprehensively take into account all secondary important aspects and shortcomings.
Conclusion
Maintaining well-being and a sufficiently high level of psychological readiness of staff for stress is an important task that can be performed using special techniques. The psychological theory of health is one of the main aspects that can provide a sufficient comprehension of how the human psyche reacts to certain external stimuli. Identification of stress sources should be carried out in the workplace in order to be able to develop particular strategies to overcome these factors in the future. Thus, medical staff will be able to work more efficiently in order to provide patients with more comprehensive and high-quality care.
