Introduction

Purchasing course provides an introduction to basic concepts and issues in quality management and the functions that a person can play in an organization having completed this course. This program is set for a person who has interest in working in purchasing, supply chain management or procurement. In this course a person will be introduced to the various aspects of the supply chain environment which includes enterprise resource planning systems and requirement systems.

This is important for a student to have a view of what is required for one to succeed in planning, acquisition, flow and distribution that is from raw materials to finished products. This course has also focus in management function and the skills and resources that develop a successful manager. This will mean that there are topics like corporate culture, working successfully with teams, developing and implementation and management strategies, work flow and performance management meaning tat a person will be in right place and will be able to work in the post of a manager. In this course a person is able to learn purchasing strategies and skills so that he or she can help save income for their businesses and increase the value to their company. A student learns how to become a successful entrepreneur and develop understanding on basics of marketing management and the strategies that are involved in developing of a marketing plan. In this course a person learns about the negotiation where by such a student will get ideas that are best for one to succeed in convincing people to buy products of a company. The course has got information on excellent foundation for a CPM certification exam but it does not give a review of the program. This will mean that a student who takes this course will come out as a person who is successful in all the fields that are learnt.

In registration a student will be given an initial of six months to complete the program and of there is need for more time then a student will be given six more additional months with no additional charge to be paid. This will imply that it is an important program and a student can be able to learn all that is required as to fully qualify in the position that he or she’s in wants.

There are different services that are provided in this course in that in administrative services then one will know how to budget and pay roll, contract administration, data processing, office services like equipment and supply purchasing, office planning, there is the position of human resource and training and safety and emergency management. The financial services perform the work that is related to budget and financial planning, cashiering, accounting payroll and benefits calculations n ad other related work in this department. The managers have the responsibility of ensuring that organization does its operations well so that it can lead to high production. (Daniel, 2003)

This is possible in that there are programs that are learnt in the purchasing management course on management. Therefore a manager is supposed to hire, train, perform affirmative action, make classification of jobs and payments that are to be concerned in any given job, make corrections that are required in organization and take disciplinary action to those who go against the set rules and regulations of organization. This will mean that to be a manager then the required skills should be followed so that they can know what an organization has to do in case of challenges that take place in this organization. The manager is concerned with labor relations and contract negotiations in that if the workers have to get changes made then they have to inform the manager so that he or she can know what to do to have this action accomplished. This will mean that he or she has to make findings from different places so that he can know how to deal with changes that take place in the organization.

The manager is supposed to make investigations on complaints that come up in organization in that if workers have complain on sexual harassment, appeals then he or she is supposed to know exactly what the way through to this problem is. He or she has the role of developing agency personnel policies and procedures in that the policies hat are required in an organization so that there can be proper operations are made and enforced by manager. This will be important so that workers have the knowledge on what they are supposed to do as they have to follow the set policies.

A manager has to work in relation with other organizations that are related to that particular organization so that they can know that changes that take place in this organization. This will mean that a person to fully qualify for this post will be required to have educational skills and trainings that are important so that he can be a leader. A manager should be able to play several roles which include: The director role in which a manager is supposed to have developing and communicating skills in that he should have right communication with workers and society so that they can be able to sell the products that are required for an organization. The communication is very important because it helps a person have the convincing power to other people in terms of telling them how a product is and how they can go about the changes that take place. (David, 2003)

He has the role of setting goals and objectives in an organization in that organization has got to have well set goals which are the important things that have to be followed so that an organization can be successful. This will mean that a manager should follow the SMARTER rule so that organization can work effectively. He or she has to play the role of designing and organizing where an organization is in need of projects then he or she should be able to design on how the project will be and how effective it will be to the organization. This will be through the issuing of specific things that are required for an organization to work and be effective in all that it has to undertake.

He or she will be required to play the role of a producer in that he should be able to ensure the changes are made in working productivity where the production in a organization should be considered. This is important because it will lead a company to have high sales leading to high profits. To raise work productivity the manager has to ensure that there is worker motivation in terms of providing promotions and other benefits that are important in an organization. a manager should be able foster a productive work environment in that the working environment should be favorable in terms of equipments and other services that are required by a person. This will mean that if a worker is in need of certain equipments then they should be readily available so that they can boost him or her in production. (David, 2003)

This will mean that an organization will know how to go about workers who are lazy and report late in work this is done mainly to come up with right change that are required for production to be raised. A manager can take the role of a coordinator in that he or she should be able to manage projects. This is an important task that is required by a manager if they have to have a successful organization. In managing projects then it will be his or her duty to know the tasks that have to be carried out for a project to come up as it is required bearing in mind that there are steps that are important in coming up with successful project. This will imply that organization that has many projects will not find problems to do what is set for it in future and will be able to meet the demands of all workers and consumers at the right time.

A manager should be able to design work in other words the work that has to be carried put by each worker in organization should have experience and qualifications that are required. This will mean that all people in organization should have qualifications so that they can go through their work successfully. A manager should manage across functions in that all the functions that are set in organization should be manager so that they can be fully achieved. This is important and what a manager should have is to ensure that they have creative power and clear mind to know how to go about these functions that take place in organization. A manager can play the role of a monitor where he or she can be able to manage information overload in that all the information that is required in organization should be given clearly so as for the workers to know what an organization requires in dealing with a certain challenge.( David,2003)

The information overload should be maintained all through as long as this organization is in operation. This is important in that they have to come up with changes that take place in the world around them and at the same time they should know what to do if a problem has occurred in an organization. This is important information that should be kept for an organization to succeed. It is the work of manager to analyze core processes in an organization. This will be in that if a manager does not have clear knowledge on which processes are available in an organization. Then it will mean that the organization will lack important processes that will enable it to have success in the competitive market. There is the role of measuring performance and quality where a manager should have knowledge to know how an organization has been operating for the past time.

This is important because it helps an organization know which changes to make so that they can reach the set target. The performance of organization is mainly determined by workers work pace and this will mean that what organization has to do is to come up with clear information to workers and encourage them to work for betterment of the organization. The quality operation in an organization will mean that organization has to produce products that are desirable so that they can change attitudes of people. A manager can play the role of a broker, building and maintaining a power base where a manager should have power to convince society and nation at large how a product of organization is. If for example it is in case of a hospitality organization then a manager should have power to encourage many consumers through assisting workers to do their work successfully this is something that will lead to high production as more sales are reached at that set time. (Ben, 2000)

A manager should be able to be negotiating agreement and commitment in that what a person requires then a manager should be bale to access so that he or she can make the right decision. In negotiation then it means that it is important as a factor that will attract many consumers to buy a product. This is important because with many consumers then organization is able to make high sales. A manager should be effective in presenting ideas in that if an idea is important and need to be passed to workers in an organization, and then it is the work of manager to present these ideas in a way that they make sense to all in organization. A manager can work as an innovator in the he or she can be able to change as per what is happening around the world. If there are changes in technology then it means that this technology has to be incorporated so that they can come up with high production. Thinking creatively is important for a manager so that changes that are required in organization can be made.

This will mean that organization that lack managers that can bring changes in organization will lead to collapse of such organization due to lack of important requirements that can be used to boost operations of workers. Should be able to manage change that take place in organization, in that they should be able to undertake the changes that take place in organization at any given time. A manger can take the role of a mentor in that he or she should understand self and others so that the conflicts that take place in the organization can be dealt with to reduce effects that can lead to collapse of organization. Communicating effectively is important so that all in organization understand what is been communicated not to make errors that can be avoided. In working with employees then a manger should be able to manager employees so that they work well this is important in that it leads to changes that will lead to high production in an organization. To be an entrepreneur there is no set education but what a person has to do is to learn things that will make him or her successful. But there is no business that can survive without internet market therefore an entrepreneur; this will mean that such a person should take skills that will lead to improvement changes that are required in an organization. An entrepreneur will require skills that will change the operation in an organization. This will mean that there are things that he or she should learn so that operations in a business can succeed and they include: one should take on the world in that if a company should be able to sell the products in global market then there is need to have tips that are required so that they can succeed in the global market.

One should do research and map out what to be exported, he or she should know where to go and be able to go to that particular place. One should take decisive step and follow it up making important judgment that will assist the operations of organization. A person is required to take ego in check in that he or she should not be affected by the fact that products have to go global. It is important to have mind set so that the right judgments can be made in dealing with changes that take place in world around them. One should be ready to trust what he or she feels about an action. This is important as it will lead to changes that are important so that an organization or business can succeed. There is need to treat others as you treat yourself so that you can avoid conflicts that are likely to take place in world. A person is required to make personal contact with attentiveness, courtesy, professionalism and consistency. One should be patient and take time as to sell products global is not something to rush to but it takes time to make the contract complete. (Ben, 2000)

When you have access to the global market then you should not have discrimination in that it is not important to discriminate people bearing in mind that you are the runner of the organization. A person should know where to get finance for expansion of organization. The finance that is from personal savings or borrowed from friends and family can be used to start a business but there is need to know were to get money for further expansion of the business. This is because this finance is not enough meaning that it will lead to low production with low sales been made.

But with finance from other institutions then it will mean that changes in a business will be made as a person will be able to make changes in production which will lead to high production. Therefore a person can be able to have funding sources and he or she can be effective if he makes a plan on how to get this income. In going to the friends and family members where you received the first income to begin the business then you can get more income and if your first loan was not formalized then make sure that there are documents that will be set so that one can know how to repay this loan and make a plan that will assist him or her.

If he or she has t take the route of government then it means that income can be from micro loans and other lenders. There is another way where a person can be able to approach vendors so that they can get materials for their products. This means that it is important for a person to know what products he or she has to produce and how to go about getting raw materials so that there can be high production. If one has to open another location then he or she should know the best ways for expansion. This is important so that the second location that has to be opened should be in line with the first business that has been successful. In opening this new business then one should be able to make profit like the original business therefore he orb she should be consistent and have steady growth for this business. One should look at the trends that are both economic and consumer in that the consumers that have been in use of this product should be maintained so that the business can have the same power that it had before.

One should ensure that the management team and administrative systems are extraordinary in that those who run the operations of the organization should be well experienced so that they can bring high sales. A person should prepare a complete business plan which is important as there is no business that can succeed with a plan. This plan should be comprehensive but well understandable by all in the business. In starting a new business then one should not look at the amount of income he or she has but should base the opening of business on product selling. In targeting other markets then one should know what other people require so that they can be effective in sale, this is important in that a person who has to begin a business in a certain place should have all what is expected so that they can be effective in all areas. (Alice, 1999)

In continuation of personal development then one should have a plan whether to take vacation. This is because he or she is the manager in organization therefore should know what to do in times when vacations are required. It is important for an organization to have its employees take vacations and during this time of vacation then he or she should know exactly what the employees will be in need of like trainings. This is the responsibility of an entrepreneur to offer trainings to people so that there can be high production made in present and in future. The salary matters in that depending on work that is done then they should have salaries that will lead to motivation of employees to produce more. The salaries should be high so that they can change the living standards of these workers.

Purchasing management course is very important as it leads a person to a state where he or she has skills that can allow him or her to run an organization and business. This is because most of the skills that are in relation to business and organization are provided leading such a person to a state where he or she can be bale to make a good leader in an organization. As it refers one has all skills that are required in an organization and therefore the salary will change depending on what position the person holds. This will mean that a post of a manager has high pay in comparing it with other positions in organization like been an employee. But the fact is that these people are important and with skills that are required can bring changes in organization that will lead to high production in that particular organization. A student who has been fully trained in this course will not find it hard to carry out activities that are important the fact is that this course covers all areas that a person can be able to undertake an activity and come up successful. (Alice, 1999)

A purchasing management career is important as it has coverage of many vital areas that are important for a person. This means that it should be taken with a lot of seriousness so that they can come up as people who can run business and companies and be successful. What a person should know is to keep what is learnt and practically apply it so that they can know whether they have received the right understanding.
