Abstract

This paper will focus on home ownership problems that face individuals in choosing the right category of houses based on their tastes and preferences. Individuals tend to buy houses that have either pools or garages depending on their level of income and preferences. This paper will analyze and address this issue by drafting possible questions that will enable the researcher to collect primary information.

Do people buy homes with pools and garages, homes with pools, homes with garages or homes without pools and garages, without a pool, or without a garage?

Survey Analysis

This survey is aimed at identifying homes that are perceived as the best and most common among the majority of individuals. Individuals choose homes to buy depending on fixtures such as pools and garages incorporated in the buildings. This survey will mainly focus on people preferences regarding home ownership. This is mainly because home ownership has become an increasing trend among most people (Doane & Seward, 2009).

Assessing these categories of homes will enable the researcher to develop the reason to why individuals buy these homes. This survey will be carried through the use of open ended and closed ended questions. The survey questions will revolve around preferences mostly preferred by home buyers. These preferences will be categorized in terms of pools and garage. The questions will revolve around these issues mainly because they are the independent variables of the survey (Doane & Seward, 2009).

The level of measurement for these questions will be based on preferences and level of income. Homes with both garage and pools will be given a higher priority than those that do not have either a garage or pool. Respondents will be required to rank the houses that are most and least bought and preferred. This quest ion will facilitate collection of data from mortgage Companies regarding houses that have higher returns and occupation. This question is fundamental in researching this problem because it will give researchers crucial information concerning houses that are bought more than others. This question will be measured on an ordinal basis of one to five. This question will be structured as follows; 1. Homes with pools and garage, 2. Homes with pool, 3. Homes with garage or without pools and garage, 4. Without pools and 5.without garage (Doane & Seward, 2009).

The other main concern for this survey will be to determine the levels of income of most individuals that acquire this home. This will enable researchers to develop the relation between the category of homes and the level of income. Home owners will be grouped into those that earn above average income, average income or low income. This question is critical in the survey analysis because it will enable the researcher to get information concerning homes that are likely to be bought (Doane & Seward, 2009).

Ratio measurement will be used to measure the number of clients. This is mainly because count is an inconsistent. To identify the market value of these homes, the categories will be merged in two. These categories will include those homes that have either pools or garage and those that have neither pools nor garage. The information that will be collected will then be generalized to represent the broader categories. The level of measurement of this question will be ordinal. The market value will be analyzed in terms of High and low value (Sekaran & Bougie, 2009).

The question on the group of individual that buy houses with either pool or garage will be measured through the use of interval measurement. This interval will be between 30- 50 years and 50-70 years. The question on ownership of home ownership regardless of the geographical location will enable the researcher to draw conclusions regarding location and features such as pools and garages in a house (Sekaran & Bougie, 2009).

Some of the ethical implications that will be considered in this survey will include avoidance of the method which some individuals acquired the homes and disclosure of the exact income earned. The other ethical allegation that will be considered will be how mortgage firms or house developers determine the value of these homes (Sekaran & Bougie, 2009).

The survey questions that will be used to gather primary data concerning this problem will include the following;

  1. Which homes have the majority of residents, those that have a pool and a garage or those that have none?
  2. Which category of home ownership had the majority of clients in the past six months?
  3. Which homes are preferred by most individuals? Rank these homes in the order of preference with 1 representing those homes that have a garage and pools. The respondents will be required to rate the houses they prefer the most to least preferred. This question will enable the researcher to determine homes that are perceived to be the best.
  4. Are the homes with a pool or garage more expensive than those that have no garage or pool? YES, or No.
  5. What is the average income of individuals that buy homes with a garage, a pool or both a garage and a pool? Is it individuals with above average income, average income or low income? This question is critical in the survey analysis because it will enable researchers to get information concerning homes that are likely to be bought.
  6. Homes that have either a garage or a pool are bought by a majority of individuals. 1- Strongly agree. 2-neutral. 3-agree. 4-disagree. 5-strongly disagree.
  7. Which groups of individual buy homes with both pools and garages? Is it 30-50 years or 50-70 years?
  8. Which category of houses is developed by a majority of investors in real estate?
  9. Which homes have a higher market value compared to others?
  10. Do you value homes with pools or garages regardless of their geographical location? YES, or NO (Sekaran & Bougie, 2009).
