In the functioning of any organization, problems and risks may arise that may affect the effectiveness of its work. Thus, the definition of risk in service continuity is of particular value. This is because they directly affect the continuation of pharmacy work. Such problems may be a lack of medicines, inconsistency of the plan with the realities of the organization’s work, or lack of staff. Thus, to manage these risks, pharmacy takes several approaches. Hence, it conducts a constant calculation and analysis of drugs available, ensures a constant flow of the most popular drugs, and forms a functioning plan depending on realistic conditions. Moreover, managers conduct an assessment of employee satisfaction with the workplace for limited layoffs and burnout.
For me, the threat to my delivery of services was a case of incorrect preparation of a work plan. Research stated that “it helps translate a feasible project into a realistic project plan” (Six, 2018, para. 2). Henceforth, I have incorrectly allocated the time that should be given to performing specific tasks. This mistake seriously affected my productivity and the effectiveness of my performance indicators. To change the situation and reduce the risk, I revised my schedule and the goals I set to achieve. Thus, when changing the plan, I adhered to personal expectations from the activity and also took into account my characteristics and skills.
In conclusion, the management of risk situations in the work of an organization or individuals has an essential role. This is because foreseeing possible risks can help avoid many negative consequences, which primarily affect the efficiency of work. Therefore, based on my own experience, I can say that limiting the risk in service delivery can help me identify and manage similar situations in the future in a timely manner.
