Change is inevitable in all areas of life, and it is particularly significant for healthcare nurses since innovations in medicine might potentially save people’s lives. Nevertheless, adapting to change is challenging for many professionals, and it is crucial to develop effective coping strategies. In my practice setting, I would aim to improve the transparency of communication and build trustworthy connections among nurses to enhance resilience. According to Garcia-Izquierdo et al. (2017), resilience directly affects nurses’ mental health, mitigating emotional exhaustion and cynicism. In my opinion, trying to achieve a supportive atmosphere in the workplace is the most effective method to improve resilience in practice while enhancing the relationships with colleagues. Moreover, I would focus on self-improvement and utilize positive coping strategies, such as spending more time with family and thoroughly planning my studies. August and Dapkewicz (2021) have found that such adaptive methods might significantly enhance resilience and mental health. Ultimately, I would choose the advancement of communication in the workplace and positive coping strategies as the two primary steps to improve resilience.

Consequently, it is vital to communicate change in practice to patients and nursing peers to improve the overall quality of provided services. To achieve this goal, I would focus on the scope of practice – who, what, where, when, and why (American Nurses Association, 2021). I believe that a thorough assessment of nursing fundamentals is a powerful stimulus to implement change in the workplace. It is essential to convey this message to patients and peers and convince them that innovative methods might improve the quality of services and even save lives. After all, it is the primary objective of healthcare, and everyone wants to improve health outcomes in practice. Therefore, I believe that returning to fundamentals might remind people of the healthcare goals and convince them to adapt to change.
