though they die, yet shall they live, and whoever lives

and believes in me shall never die.” (John 11:25-26)

Jesus Christ, who is the son of God and the Holy Trinity’s Second Person. He is the true God. Jesus is a historical and biblical figure identified by a lot of Christian tradition forms. He was the Christ and it was proved by His resurrection, His rising from the world of the dead. Jesus’s message, death, and resurrection have been studied by many world religions which supported different ideas and concepts as to His origin and nature. It is important to take a close look at the main aspects of these three Jesus aspects in order to understand the deep meaning of the Jesus concepts provided by world religions.

The message of Jesus Christ has been interpreted many times and had a different meaning. People tried to reduce the message and made it as simple as it can be. Nevertheless, the core concept of His proclamation was love. His religion was aimed at providing people with justice rather than salvation. (Chadwell, 2005) Jesus strived to proclaim the Kingdom of God. This proclamation was based on the promotion of his beliefs among all people in order to make them frank, just and full of love to each other.

According to the New Testament, Jesus’ death was considered to be an atonement act identified as a sacrifice. The death of Jesus was interpreted as a sacrifice being focused on the historical traditions of the Hebrew Bible. Through the concept of revelation, the death of Jesus was the freedom from suffering which is usually experienced by every dying person. The meaning of His death was the combination of morality and sacrifice; it meant the forgiveness of the greatest sins of the person. Nevertheless, His death was not natural but punishing. The legend of Jesus’s death may contain many interpretations through different religious concepts.

In case Jesus had not risen from the world of the dead His death would have been regarded as a defeat for the world. His resurrection identified Him as a true man and the revelation of God at the same time. He rose to say that God is the winner of all the enemies and only his religion and beliefs can help people to overcome evil. (Marthaler, the Creed)

Jesus was considered to be a human but he was God at the same time. He was completely innocent and never sinned. He was devoid of blemish and his main purpose of the message was to promote justice in the world. Jesus’ innocence resulted in His sufferings which were so terrible that could cover all the sins of humanity. It should be noted that His death and resurrection covered human salvation forever providing access to the mercy and grace of God for all human beings. From the point of view of world religion, Jesus Christ is considered to be the combination of all religious symbols of God’s revelation. He is a true man promoting his beliefs among the people and a revelation of God. He took all the sufferings of humanity in order to show a sense of justice and discretion. Jesus Christ is the symbol of many world religions and human hopes.
