It is possible that students’ motivation would shift from knowledge acquisition to reward acquisition. Consequently, traditional school values of knowledge prominence would be undermined. Moreover, in the later stages of life, such behavioral developments that create a dependence on extrinsic rewards may disrupt or raise the difficulty of student adaptation to adulthood. When people receive some extrinsic reward for engaging in actions they find enjoyable, such habits start to be perceived as mundane work and no longer bring the same delight (Spielman et al, 2020). In the absence of any extrinsic incentive, people may thus spend less time participating in these actions.

Therefore, the focus should remain on the provision of intrinsic rewards. These rewards focus on the incentives that are primarily psychological and originate from self-generated factors such as the feeling of accomplishment, personal growth, trust and increased competence. Intrinsic motivation enables students to work independently and enthusiastically as it piques the interest of the student (Serin, 2018). Positive attitudes toward the material are developed, and people respect one another more and are more open to hearing other people’s perspectives (Serin, 2018). Another successful tactic to develop intrinsic motivation is to set up a competitive learning environment for students. Since intrinsic motivation refers to inner sentiments, students get more involved, become motivated and spend more time learning.

I believe that it is the truth that producers are increasing the representation of minorities and people of various genders and sexualities. According to the UCLA survey, women continue to progress in the entertainment industry, accounting for 47% of movie leads and 42% of actors (Hunt & Ramón, 2022). Despite advances, there are still disproportionately few women and people of color in the crucial, prominent film director and screenwriter positions. Less than 22% of directors and 33% of screenwriters are women (Hunt & Ramón, 2022). Additionally, men and women of color account for 32% of screenwriters and 30% of directors, respectively (Hunt & Ramón, 2022). The survey revealed that films written or directed by women last year featured casts that were much more varied than those written or directed by white males. This lack of diversity at the top has an impact on productions as a whole.

However, the study discovered that women and people of color have a tougher difficulty securing funding for a movie and, often, on a relatively lower budget. They are likelier than white males to direct a movie with a budget of under $20 million (Hunt & Ramón, 2022). Therefore, I believe that increasing representation is the first step to ensuring equality in the industry. Other steps should be considered by changing the local mindset towards diversity and ensuring salary equality for minority actors and producers.
