For an entrepreneur, it is important to feel that he is creating a product that really improves people’s lives. Therefore, this principle – the desire to sacrifice personal life in the name of a work mission, is a very important aspect for Jobs. The video shows how Jobs explores his team and challenges it. He is interested in the opinion of employees, encouraging their initiative and importance. In addition, Steve Jobs talks about the importance of values: he notes that when a company develops, it is easy to lose what it was created for. He urges not to compromise on those things that are the basic principles of the company.
Jobs was able to make excellent presentations – this can be seen from the video; his speech is rehearsed, and he speaks naturally and with enthusiasm. It was those principles concerning values and interaction with the team that made his Apple company successful. Jobs was able to focus on what was really important and critical, while he clearly argued his position (justinsbigidea, n.d.). The principles he voiced in the interview show him as a real leader. Adhering to them, he managed to build a company with a powerful mission, and set ambitious but achievable goals for the most gifted employees.
