From the YouTube video, I can spot working and upper-class individuals and multiple groups of people, such as armies and merchants. All humans are involved in diverse activities, whereby police officers with shotguns match across the city lawns to protect the people (Balorov, 2007). At the same time, men with horse-drawn sleighs move goods and humans from one point to the projected destinations. In addition, individuals categorized as rich in society are ice-skating at Petrovsky Park, Moscow (Balorov, 2007). Lastly, multiple merchants sell fish and mushrooms to the community elites.
Pavel Tretyakov was a Russian businessman who produced and preserved cultural values through art. At the age of 22, Tretyakov bought ten canvases from Dutch merchants. He purchased different paintings directly from artists’ studios and at exhibitions aiming to create a Russian art gallery. For example, in 1885, Tretyakov bought approximately 102 studies from Polenov during his visits to Palestine, Egypt, Syria, and Turkey (Guzeva, 2021). In addition, he acquired several architectural sketches from diverse artists, including Ilya Repin, Viktor Vasnetsov, and Valentin Serov. Tretyakov started acquiring 18th and 19th centuries pictures to attain his objective of developing a domestic school of arts (Guzeva, 2021). The goal of Tretyakov was to ensure that people learn about cultures from different regions and value traditions. At the same time, he provided monetary assistance to the artists, such as painters, to continue with their artisan work. Therefore, Tretyakov aided in the production of many figures, marble statues, and sculptures. Tretyakov’s gallery has art collections from Western Europe to continue preserving cultural values. The best method of conserving national history and cultural heritage is sharing them with others.
