Based on the Criteria of Writing Proficiency, in my opinion, the best essay that reflects all the leading and essential provisions is “The Absurdity of the Human Condition: Camus and Feinberg”. This is reflected in the fact that the purpose of the work is clearly indicated in this paper, and various resources are used. They made it possible to build the narrative in the essay in the best way, as well as add more relevance to the ideas and evidence presented. In addition, it is important to note that this particular essay has a clear organization and structure (UMass Boston, 2022). This is manifested in the fact that each paragraph has a complete thought, and sentences have codependency.
Capabilities as a Writer
This essay represents my best skills as a writer, so it has a number of characteristics that allow me to judge this. First of all, it clearly highlights the purpose and the author’s position. It lies in the fact that “The philosophers, while having similar stands on agreeing that absurdity is a major characteristic of existence, differ based on their explanation of the concept itself as well as how people deal with this phenomenon.”. Thus, this opinion becomes the basis of the entire paper, on the basis of which the main narrative of the proof and consideration of different approaches to the absurdity of the two philosophers is built. This position was taken because it best demonstrates that the essay is based on the discussion of different points of view and positions regarding one phenomenon. It is also worth noting that the primary author’s position is reflected in the fact that “Feinberg’s approach to absurdity and self-fulfillment appears to be more universally applied”. I adhere to this opinion because the philosopher demonstrates his point of view through the prism of a subjective way of life.
Another essential advantage of this essay is the approach used to compare the positions of the two philosophers. By revealing the topic in this way, readers can look at the subject from different angles. In addition, given that this essay demonstrates the author’s position, it is important to provide more relevant evidence. Due to this, one’s opinion becomes more impartial, making the work more meaningful and thoughtful. That is why the conclusions in this essay serve as a point through which the reader can understand which philosopher’s position is correct. This is reflected in the following words: “Thus, Feinberg’s approach can be applied to every human being as each person has a different perception of what is important and contribute to the mission of living while recognizing the absurd.” Therefore, the different points of view on one phenomenon considered allowed me to point out the fundamental differences in the approaches of the two philosophers.
Fundamental Differences from Other Essays
In fact, this essay differs in many aspects from the previous ones. Of course, some aspects are different, as they pursue different goals and objectives from each other. All this also affects the audience for which they are intended. Consequently, different types of essays affect the style and format of the work. However, it should be noted that this is reflected in my writing skills. Considering the essay entitled “Arthur Schopenhauer: On the Sufferings of the World,” it should be noted that it contains a clear position of the author and the goals or objectives set. Thus, for readers, the primary meaning of studying the work disappears since there is no way to understand its purpose. “The Absurdity of the Human Condition: Camus and Feinberg”, on the contrary, has a clear structure that reflects many aspects of a competent and thoughtful essay.
Growth as a Writer
Through these essays, you can see my growth as a writer, which is reflected in the acquisition of certain skills. It should be noted that there was a great sense of awareness of what was written. This is reflected in the fact that “The Absurdity of the Human Condition: Camus and Feinberg” traces organization and goal setting. This becomes the basis for the fact that the essay becomes more critical, which affects the interest of readers in it. In addition, it should be pointed out that a more conscious approach to writing an essay has allowed us to form our own style and approach to a large extent. This is manifested in the fact that, based on the essay’s format, aims, and objectives, I strive to give it more depth by expressing a position and opinion. Thus, the living language of communication with the reader through the prism of the text is the basis for the fact that writing skills have improved.
Other Factors
There are several factors that have influenced the growth of my writing skills. First of all, this is the approach of teachers to explaining various aspects that contribute to progress in this area. It helped to look at writing from a fundamentally different angle, as well as to learn about various techniques and styles. The second important factor is the newfound desire for writing. This is reflected in the fact that there is a particular awareness in the desire to reveal various topics for themselves and readers. It is important for people to realize that their work is important. It was this factor that allowed me to understand that writing has social virtues that serve as support.
