Introduction
The United States of America is considered to be one of the most powerful countries in the entire world due to its financial stability and well equipped military forces. There were many controversial events among different countries within the past five years that could not be disregarded by American politicians who tried to help every state that remained under threat of a particular conflict. As the military forces of the USA played a major role in World War II and its outcomes, the country now has a special status that gives it the privilege of being the most dominant Commonwealth on the planet, which is constantly used by the Pentagon to influence serious foreign conflicts.
Events Involving the USA
It is a well-known fact that the President of the United States of America sent the country’s warships to the water areas that belong to North Korea in 2017. The leader of the USA decided to do this action to maintain preparedness for any possible battle in the Pacific Ocean (Etzioni, 2016). It would be proper to mention that Donald Trump was discouraged by his country’s potential opponent’s claims as to its capability to use ballistic rockets against the mightiest Commonwealth.
Another event happened in Iraq, where the USA military forces were basing for approximately nine years since 2003. Although the war ended in 2011 officially, some American citizens stayed to control the situation in Iraq till 2012. Other soldiers and officers left the territory of the armed conflict immediately.
US’s Rise as a World Super Power Policeman
The following paragraph will present events that impacted the rise of the American “superpower.” It would be proper to mention that this status changed the country’s developments within the past several decades due to various implications of the help ensured to its partners all over the planet. The first essential aspect that led to the rise of America as a world’s leader is its economic independence and prosperity (Etzioni, 2016).
Due to the amount of money available to the US government, it can share these means with developing states to help them cope with various problems. As a result, the latter partner must return the acquired finances to the USA. Another aspect that must be considered in this section implies American newest technologies in the sphere of military equipment. Due to this equipment, the country’s army remains one of the most powerful military forces in the world. The third aspect is the fact that the USA has many valuable resources such as oil, natural gas, food, and other supplies that they deliver to other Commonwealths in the form of humanitarian help.
International Conflicts
As it is mentioned above, the Iraq War was one of several international incidents since World War II where America has taken on a policing role. When American soldiers arrived at the territories of Iraq, the local army had tremendous support from the world’s military leader. Therefore, the country had an advantage over its opponents from neighboring Iran.
Another incident that must be discussed in this section of the paper is the conflict between Ukraine and Russia (Goldthau & Boersma, 2014). The US government sanctioned the aggressor country to prevent it from attacking the eastern part of the smaller and weaker opponent. The third incident that was supported by the American government is the economic crisis in South Korea. The USA government gave this unsuccessful country financial means to develop its industries and create more working places for local inhabitants (Glassman & Choi, 2014). Nowadays, South Korea is one of the most attractive Commonwealths on the planet due to its specific culture and new technologies that are known almost in every part of the world.
Forces That Impacted International Policy
The first case that required the intervention of the American army was influenced by the war between Iraq and Iran. These two countries fought for the right to rule the territories that officially belonged to Iraq. However, there were many people of Iranian ethnical backgrounds living in these areas. Therefore, they attempted to become the ruling nation in foreign lands. As this situation was uncertain, the USA sent its soldiers and officers to fight against Iranian forces to ensure independence and peace to the native population.
The armed conflict between Ukraine and Russia was one of the most discussed topics by international media in 2014 and 2015. Indeed, the driving force of this incident is also a military battle in the eastern part of Ukraine that was invaded by soldiers sponsored and supported by the Kremlin (Goldthau & Boersma, 2014). In the end, the economic expansion of South Korea was influenced by its crisis. As it is mentioned above, the country did not have enough money to maintain its independence. Therefore, its government accepted the sound help of the USA.
Conclusion
The United States of America is the most powerful country in the entire world due to its economic progress and developed military forces. The American government and army had a tremendous influence on several international conflicts throughout its history. Also, it is known as a policeman of the world nowadays as it controls peace and safety almost in every part of the planet.
