Introduction
The Church is an important social institution that is called upon to provide people with various services related to their spiritual needs. Thus, this institution must meet all the necessary parameters, and its employees must fulfill their mission. Understanding the basic responsibilities of the church is essential to understanding how the organization works. For this, an interview was taken with the priest of the local church.
Interview Summary
The Mission of the Church
The first important question concerned the mission of the church. The interviewee said that its goal is to spread the fantastic hospitality that Jesus extends to all people by sharing the gift that Jesus is giving to the world. By setting up food banks, which are locations where food insecure people can go and collect some food. The mission drift experience is marked by a shift from more localized responsibilities to a broader path of globalization. Today’s transmission of important information has changed significantly, so the church can also use modern technologies and online conferences.
The church’s financing is equally important to achieve the goals. For the church, budgets are available that are replenished by donations and subsidies from the state for the development of church infrastructure the respondent said. To attract different communities, the church may arrange seminars and various events.
The church must serve not only locally but also the global community. Rites of passage are conducted in nearby churches so the neighborhood can participate. The interviewee described that Christians work for neighborhood charities, and churches offer assistance to needy individuals. Pastors can therefore ensure that they apply God’s Word in light of the pressing spiritual and material concerns that face people worldwide as they study it (Hah, 2019). Through sacrificial giving, local churches can participate in global ministry in one of the most practical ways possible. At global levels, the church is also involved in donations to international volunteer organizations to help people worldwide.
The Mission Fulfillment
Considering that the church’s mission is to unite people and provide them with spiritual guidance, our church fulfills its goal daily. Families often come to the church to spend time together, and common religious rituals are a unifying factor for them. Another example might be to serve as a location where broken people can find healing in Jesus. The main driver of the early church’s mission was the faith that Christians and congregations were carrying out a mission and ministry started by Jesus Christ.
To fulfill its mission, the church empowers its employees to minister to people in daily life. The interviewee identified several ways in which our employees can fulfill the mission in everyday life:
- Close fellowship as priests for those who need moral help and support;
- Integration of prayer rites in everyday life;
- Teaching and telling about religion to those who are interested in it;
- Cooperation of the church and its employees with other public institutions so that people can receive the necessary services of the clergy.
The Objectives of the Church
The institutional church’s main objective is to alert people to divine justice, not to advance social justice the respondent claimed. Its primary purpose is to inform people of God’s righteousness in Jesus Christ, not to call society to greater holiness. In addition to promoting and defending the rights of the poor, they can fight unfair legislation. They may motivate, inspire, and encourage their churches to take action to advance justice through their example and leadership.
The Diversity Efforts of the Church
The Bible endorses diversity within the church. Diversity is the acceptance, value, and inclusion of other racial, gender, sexual orientation, and cultural groups without sacrificing any group’s distinctiveness. Working with local churches with diverse social groups is one strategy to locate and recruit a more diverse team. They can have senior citizens or young people looking for new ministry opportunities.
In the Bible, Christ encourages followers to stand up for the rights of the weak and destitute, and those who do so are depicted as just and morally upright (Hah, 2019). The interviewee stated that religion can also affect how people react to poverty by encouraging a propensity to practice kindness. Communities can be educated through faith to restore everyone’s human dignity in society. Religion may actively support and contribute to the system that works to reduce poverty.
The church must cooperate with many organizations to spread its influence. One of the institutions with which the church interacts is a religious school. Answering a question about cooperation, the interviewee said that collaboration within the Body of Christ is crucial because it exemplifies the triune God’s essence and how his body was intended to work. A partnership reflects the local church’s natural relationships and sense of community.
Missionaries spread the Christian faith while occasionally performing sacraments and offering relief to the less fortunate. The church staff is tolerant of people of all religions and beliefs and can provide them with support and assistance if needed. The respondent stated that the success of a mission is determined by its breadth: the church is always happy to support new missionaries; new missionaries are regularly introduced during services, and short-term groups visit as many places as possible (Hah, 2019). Churches should encourage their members to participate in one mission story or one at a time. The church constantly evaluates its mission success as members who had attended the church before and received help continue to come.
Conclusion
In conclusion, it should be said that the importance of the church in modern society cannot be underestimated since many people rely on the help of priests. They come to a holy place to stabilize morally and unite with others. This is the main mission and purpose of the church – to provide people with the opportunity to find spiritual peace and streamline their thoughts.
