Effective leadership involves the implementation of required skills in daily activities. Leaders in most cases have the authority to give directions and ensure they are followed effectively to reduce cases of conflicts in organizations in order to achieve the set goals and objectives. In the modern society, this act of leadership is applicable even to the smallest unit which is the family and its importance can be seen from all perspectives. This essay majorly summarizes the need for courageous followers and their role in supporting leaders.
Respect towards leaders can be demonstrated in many ways, for instance; standing when members of high authority like presidents and presiding judges. This is because position comes with powers and they are need to respect it. Additionally, tribal leadership stretches to the strongest warriors who defended the society in times of crisis (Chaleff, 2011). In this contest, communication, strategic, and social skills are critical in making the leaders efficient. In some societies, symbols narratives and customs formed a foundation basis for conflict resolution enabling the leaders exercise their roles as required.
Research conducted basing on the concept in discussion indicates that leadership excellence is a well-balanced consolidation and interaction leadership structures in correspondence with the cultural changes. The structure, mode of life and values govern the attitude the followers develop towards the existing govern ship (Jameson et al., 2022). A methodology utilized involved the administering of questionnaires to the local community members to collect data concerning leadership modes used and their effectiveness. It was further reviewed that leaders who applied the democratic style were successful and famous. Further, most leaders accredited the custom of being addressed wish their titles as a sign of respect and love.
Authority follows a hierarchical mode where those in higher ranks give orders to the juniors. Through his, behavior changes are experienced since there is need to obey the rules. Failure to respect them could lead to punishments leading to pain and discomfort (Wellman et al., 2022). Etiquette was regarded as a form of outward expression of respect giving gaps to the inner motive which was untold. Followers who are courageous should stand with their leaders in the circumstances they find themselves in and accord support with regard to the culture possessed. This stands as a dual reminder to the duties given o the leaders in governing and giving direction to the society.
Questioning the authority givers is seen as a sign of disrespect and anybody attempting to do so is eliminated from the staff. Therefore, there is need for being silent to avoid creating unnecessary conflicts and misunderstandings. Further, the close leaders who work with the senior members must keep their relationships authentic, courageous and honest. In addition to that, they must assume responsibilities with minimal supervision and time conscious. To obtain optimum performance, both the followers and leaders must prioritize the organizations welfare and individual interests.
In conclusion, leadership excellence is obtained when all the individuals in power cooperate and take risks. They must be prepared to adequately handle the problems faced by the individuals and be able to maintain peace by applying appropriate problem-solving skills. Leaders must respect power for them to be successful and must carry themselves with respect and integrity. Most importantly, they should learn how to communicate effectively without using non verbal cues which leads to misunderstanding and enmity. Feedback from the citizens is important as it gives the leaders platform to identify existing gaps. Positive and honest responses give the leaders the morale to continue with their duties and responsibilities without restrictions.
