The public presentation is created to provide important information on the field of educational administration. One more purpose of the presentation is to convince the audience to become interested in the material and to choose a career in the field of educational administration.
Agenda
Audience
The audience for which the presentation is developed consists of the professionals who work in the field of education as teachers, instructors, and coordinators. These persons usually have a Bachelor’s Degree in the field of education. The audience can also have the experience of working in the educational institutions of different levels. At this stage, the persons attracted to the presentation are interested in obtaining the leader position in the field of education with a focus on administration activities.
Presentation Content
History
Educational administration is a comparably new field that attracts a lot of persons because of the potential for career development. Educational administration is often discussed as based on the specific administrative and educational theories and philosophies which are combined to produce a new field of knowledge where professional educators can see the perspectives for further career progress (Hoy and Miskel 38).
Educational administrators work in all the educational institutions, and the list of their responsibilities and duties is rather long, and it depends on the concrete position (Lunenburg and Ornstein 54). Despite the possible challenges faced by the educational administrators who need to pay much attention to monitoring, controlling, and decision making, this field can be discussed as perfect for the persons who aim to develop their leadership potential.
Important Terms
While referring to the field of educational administration, it is important to pay attention to such terms and notions as the following ones:
- Educational administrators are the persons who obtain the positions of high school principals, elementary school principals, deans, registrars, and academic officers (Bureau of Labor Statistics).
- Educational administrators need to have a Master of Doctor’s Degree in the field of education.
- Educational administration is closely associated with the idea of educational leadership.
- Educational administrators are expected to make decisions about coordination, problem-solving, curriculum, monitoring, budgets, supervising, technology, policies, and staffing (Hoy and Miskel 24).
- Educational administrators need to develop their knowledge in the field of administrative law (Lunenburg and Ornstein 29-54).
Current Issues
The positions of educational administrators are discussed as leading ones. As a result, the professionals receive remarkable compensation for performed activities. That is why the average annual salary is actively discussed by the persons who plan to develop the career of the educational administrator (Figure 1; Lunenburg and Ornstein 14).
One more important issue associated with the field of educational administration is the focus of many educators on developing their careers and choosing the field of educational administration as a good alternative to realize the career plans. From this point, the field of educational administration is very popular today, and it is possible to receive the degree of the Master of Arts in Education or the Doctor of Educational Leadership in many universities of the country (Bureau of Labor Statistics).
Future Potential
It is possible to develop the potential while working in such areas as the quality assurance field, data management, human resources, and admission field. Educational administrators should remember that their roles are much more diverse and complex than the roles of educators and managers (Lunenburg and Ornstein 29-54).
The person interested in educational administration can become a principal working in colleges and schools or a school district administrator (Hoy and Miskel 24). If a person has a degree in education, and he or she is interested in the leadership position, the field of educational administration can provide such opportunities.
Interactive Presentation Component
The focus on leadership roles is important for the field of educational administration. That is why the interactive component of the presentation should include online testing regarding personality preferences and leadership abilities. To receive the opportunity to assess the potential for a career in educational administration, it is appropriate to complete the Humanmetrics Jung Typology Test based on Carl Gustav Jung’s typology. The persons interested in completing the test should be provided with laptops having a WI-FI Internet connection. To evoke the audience’s attention and interest, a written description of the test’s advantages is provided.

Discussion Section
The potential strengths of the presentation design are in the provided opportunities to discuss all the aspects of the educational administration in detail. Much attention is paid to the use of interactive technologies to attract more audience. Although the presentation is developed to attract the persons with the Bachelor’s Degree in the field of education, the information can be discussed as interesting for students thinking about receiving the Master’s Degree in the field of education or administration.
The possible weaknesses of the presentation design are the limited opportunity for developing the interactive component. Thus, few persons can be invited to participate in testing, and the procedure can be changed by presenting the PowerPoint Slides.
