It is important to note that “The Future of Nursing 2020-2030: Charting a Path to Achieve Health” discusses the main problems of nursing and the challenges faced by nurses in recent years. At the same time, it is noted that nurses are the largest category of medical personnel and work for the benefit of people. However, they face many problems that negatively affect their work. Thus, the report “The Future of Nursing 2020-2030: Charting a Path to Achieve Health” discusses ways to solve such problems as the working environment, training and financial support for healthcare personnel (National Academies of Sciences, 2021). However, in my practice setting there is also a shortage of qualified nurses. Therefore, the ideas from the report can be implemented to solve this problem, for example, training programs can be changed. Accordingly, this will immediately prepare nurses for the practical problems they will face in the workplace. Considering also that there is a tendency to reduce the number of doctors, there is a problem of proper treatment of patients. Moreover, it is possible to increase the number of RN and APRN nurses who will be able to provide primary treatment to patients.
Furthermore, at my place of work, a significant problem is that there is a shortage of nurses who specialize in a narrow medical field. Accordingly, the hospital cannot provide quality treatment and care to people with special needs. According to the report, a strategy of providing additional training and funding for this policy from the state budget and private grants can be used to encourage people to pursue nursing education and study the subspecialty (National Academies of Sciences, 2021). Thus, the information presented in “The Future of Nursing 2020-2030: Charting a Path to Achieve Health” is extremely relevant to my practice setting. This is because it is suggested strategies that can be used to improve the work of nurses.
