The psychological reality of interconnection referred to the society and the structural states of human beings are rather significant for the evaluation of the directions in which science will move in the future. According to the historical cut, the development of philosophy gave birth since ancient times to many related sciences, unless saying the whole amount of sciences. The flow of the thought shaped and realized by a man was a stimulus for the creation of psychology with special prospects on the social formation and the peculiarities of peoples’ elaboration on different stages of their lives.
In accordance with the changes maintained in science and social relations in the eighteenth and late nineteenth centuries psychological science was traditionally divided into three branches: experimental psychology, test-and-measurement psychology, and therapeutic psychology (Vitz, 2005, p. 17). Then, at the beginning of the second half of the twentieth century due to the works of Freud and Jung, these three parts were comprised of cognitive and physiological psychology (Vitz, 2005).
Popular psychology was quite convenient in the depiction and explanation of different behaviors and other realities concerned with the discipline until the great advance of scientific and technical progress changed the situation for new areas of psychology implementation. The thing is that as time went by people began to feel the respective role of psychology in making out the intentions of behaviors or deeds which people urge to do, or the types of their characters in terms of the conduct of psychologic data. Psychology also strived to explain and as a part of medical studies to treat psychological disturbances within patients. “Pop” psychology tried to ignore the thematic implementation of many factors dealing with sexual breakdown and reasons concerned with this “amoral” idea. It bothered the genuine truth of the psyche’s shapes in terms of getting more information on how to explain and treat such phenomena effectively.
Contemporary psychology due to the works of Freud and other eminent scientists of this field of activities emphasized the role of sexuality in reasoning over many pathological states of human beings hidden in the depth of the human soul. This theme discovered a new way of thinking over vital life processes in a man’s life incorporated with his/her temperament and behavior on the whole. Not only this approach influenced contemporary psychology, but also the idea of different philosophical thoughts and streams along with technological devices used to estimate human beings for medical purposes played a great role.
The psychological scientific thought was impacted by two opposite types of science: positive and negative, and positivism presupposed the involvement and use of science in problems resolving and was nothing more than simple identification of “scientific from non-scientific.” (Overton, 1991) On the other hand, negative psychology concentrated its special attention on the phenomena of pathologies and illnesses regarding peoples’ psyche disturbances embodied into the sexual reasons.
The future dimensions of psychology take into account the further development of biological approach and neuropsychology studying the brain and nervous system for better recognition and understanding of different behavior models and the state concerned with the hidden potential of the brain being unachievable at the moment. (The Columbia Encyclopedia, 2007) Moreover, current experience and knowledge according to the issue of evolution and Darwinian assumptions as of it are incorporated in one of the recent disciplines which are called Evolutionary Psychology. Cognitive science is applied to it specifically due to the reciprocal points on behaviors in combination with the developmental peculiarities of human beings. In fact, as Thomas G. Fikes points out:
EP is a controversial field, and not just on issues of science and theology. It also draws criticism from within the ranks of the social sciences, and sometimes even from evolutionary biology itself. Nevertheless, EP has become a prominent force in the landscape of the human sciences, and it behooves us to look beyond rhetoric and examine its fundamental claims and logic. (Fikes, 2001, p. 21)
As for me, the psychological development will definitely help in realizing brain capacities, and maintained additional extra abilities will be helpful in collecting, realizing, and saving data in the age of information significance. Also, I consider day-by-day innovative methods of Cognitive psychology to be the most powerful tool in individual strengths of a man. It is so, because the abilities of people from the psychological and physiological points of view are limited, unfortunately, till that time when human beings will get enough knowledge in order to instruct and educate others in terms of how to become a superman with super abilities. The more attention towards psychology as a system is paid on, the sooner human beings become aware of how to succeed in their development.
