Marriage is one of the most critical steps in developing romantic relationships between people. Having concluded their union at the legal level, a man and a woman become a separate independent unit of society. However, more couples are deciding to terminate their marriage, which is caused by constant quarrels, misunderstandings, and conflict situations. In such cases, the importance of attending marriage education is highlighted, the usefulness and importance of which is to provide knowledge not only about the marriage union but also in general about interaction and proper communication for a healthy family to be nurtured.
There are many educational programs that help men and women to maintain or improve their marriages. Research states that “while marriage education is not a panacea for addressing the troubling trends, more recent evidence suggests it can be a useful tool in helping people strengthen their relationships” (“Building a happy home: Marriage education as a tool to strengthen families,” 2022, para. 6). The plans such initiatives include not only an explanation of the phenomenon of marriage but also other valuable information. Hence, the spouses will learn how to talk to each other correctly, how to behave in conflict situations and find solutions to emerging problems.
In conclusion, this work adheres to the opinion that marriage training is necessary for couples. This is because partners learn to understand each other better and gain awareness of how to maintain a healthy relationship. Moreover, marriage training helps to reduce stressful situations and helps to solve the problems of spouses effectively and in a timely manner. Thus, by learning this information, men and women form long, fulfilling relationships.
