This article presents a thorough study of the impacts of business ethics on moral efficacy. Ethics is considered in the article as a crucial parameter in any business operation. The authors also state the study problem. For instance, some business schools have courses that do not incorporate business ethics. From the article, ethics can positively influence the moral reasoning of graduates. This implies that most students who graduate from such schools do not understand or appreciate the basic tenets of ethics, even when they eventually secure employment opportunities in various places of work. Upon careful analysis of the article, it is evident that the authors have used valid and updated reference materials. In addition, the information provided flows logically and systematically in such a way that readers can draw conclusions easily from the given content.

It is also vital to mention that the purpose, objectives, research hypothesis and guiding questions are clearly stated in the article. The main theme or purpose of the study is to promote positive morals and worthy behavioural patterns through the study ethics and moral standards in business education (May, Luth & Schwoerer, 2014). From the outset, the study of business as a discipline presents a number of challenges that can only be addressed through the integration of ethics. This explains the reason why the article provides additional information on moral courage that makes it worth publishing for other readers who desire to be enlightened. Hence, the article provides invaluable information that can be used by readers beyond a business class bearing in mind that morals and ethical standards are supposed to be applied uniformly across the board.

This article embraces an experimental research method whereby the authors derive a sample population through random sampling. Stratified random sampling may be used in order to group the population with ideal demographic characteristics such as income, gender, age, education level and ethnicity. This method of sampling is quite reliable. Although there were no incentives given to the respondents, the researchers ensured that participants’ responses were kept confidential. Permission was also granted from relevant authorities for participants to take part in the study. A thorough test of the hypothesis was done especially in the discussion section. Authors’ findings conformed to peers’ research, and hence the hypothesis was supported. Moreover, the conclusion rhymes with the research findings (May et al., 2014).

Sampling in data collection and analysis was used to choose data sources that were relevant to the topic being studied. In this article, a stratified sampling plan and peer-reviewed sources were crucial in the study. Data were sorted using specific criteria such as date, type (journals, books or periodicals) and topics. This is a probability sampling technique which permits the division of whole sample size or population into different subsets. Random selection of final data was carried out. However, the selection process was expected to be proportional to the various subsets or classifications. The authors’ findings are quite similar to past research studies on business ethics. Both emphasize the importance of ethics in business operations.

However, one of the weaknesses of the article is that the measures used were ambiguous. Hence, the targeted audience may not understand the scales used. Lack of illustrations, such as tables and diagrams is also evident. Moreover, the research outcomes do not include specific demographic characteristics, as indicated in the sample. In spite of the above weaknesses, the article offers vital information for readers. It is coherent, detailed and easy to read. This study is crucial since it contributes to an individual’s knowledge of business morals and ethics.
