I would assess my leadership abilities based on the achievements stated on the project summary that gives an overview of my brief leadership. Considering that I was the only one confident to step forward and provide clear leadership strategies when everyone was not willing to give, my charismatic abilities were evident. The reception of my leadership style based on the positive reception that I was given as a leader adds the attributes of a successful leader to my abilities.
During the small time that I practiced leadership, I experienced a substantial change in the way leadership means to the modern world from the perspective of an organization. A leader ought to be intelligent in embracing the different personalities and abilities of his followers. In doing so, an organizational goal can be achieved considerably. A successful leader uses all the abilities of different people to achieve an organization’s common goal. In our day-to-day experience leadership is applied even to the smallest set of people like the family, the success of an organization and any other entity of any magnitude depends on the effectiveness of the leadership skills applied.
Despite the central role of leadership, there are some strengths and weaknesses associated with leadership. A good analysis of these attributes will aid in leadership improvement. Some of the strengths that I noticed in my brief leadership are the ability to make a working team through leading by example and showing the followers the most reasonable approach of situations by involving them in the process. The charisma that I showed in the few days that I led was a clear indication of how successful I could be if I handled a bigger organization (Gupton, 2009).
There are several leadership concepts that I will use to improve on my leadership skills, some of these concepts are as outlined below.
Right perspective- Having the right perspective towards anything is the genesis of a successful mind for doing any task. The right perspective will always lead to positive results.
Construction feedback- This is the aspect of acknowledging the efforts of the followers or the employees of an organization by praising them when they deliver quality work and criticizing them politely when they deliver poor work.
The right spirit- A good leader provides the right approach and sound environment by motivating them in their workplace, the leader ought to be firm in the workplace in order to ensure that the followers get the right approach through the signal from the leadership in place.
Goal setting- Goal setting is one of the most foundational approaches that a leader can use to set principles and targets that its followers should meet. Without goals to meet, the efforts of the employees or the followers will not be optimized.
Responsibility delegation- Effective leaders will always delegate responsibilities to the right people. This is the quality of the leaders to assess the strengths and the weaknesses of its team in order to allocate responsibilities to the right people. This concept of a leader will enable me as a leader to allocate the right responsibilities to the right people (Gupton, 2009).

This book addresses the career development paths and how leaders contribute or help other people develop self-insight and reliance. I will recommend this book because of the skills being disseminated to the future leaders and the entire workforce of an organization. Emphasize on learning self insight and development is critical for the current business world.
A black principal and professional leadership in the segregated south is a book authored by Vanessa Siddlle Walker and Ulyesses Byas. This book shows exemplary skills that were used by the black leadership of the south to fight for their educational rights. My peers can learn how to embrace the leadership charisma used by Ulysses Byas.
Actions of leaders that contribute to lack of integrity within the organization include the failures of the following attributes; Charisma, ethics, goals/focus and perception. Integrity of an organization can therefore be improved by improving or instituting skills necessary for charisma in order for the leader to perfect the art of using the human resource constructively. Ethics on the other hand should be enhanced by aligning ethics with the organization’s missions and visions as structure in the organization’s strategic plan. On the other hand, increasing the focus on the objectives of the organization will lead to a better integrity within the organization as all the efforts will be focused on the positives of the organization.
