The Human Resources department is one of the most underrated formations in every field within any company. It is crucial for healthcare providers to have proficient HR specialists and team leaders with enough skills to manage the difficult challenges this area faces every day. Their impact is much more than just hiring, firing, payroll, and helping new employees adapt. Besides classic tasks, Human Resources face, in the medical field they need to take into account that the employees not only encounter people but they work in direct contact with people helping them in recovery. However, HRs need to make deliberate acts in ordinary activity because people’s life depends on them. Every member of the staff is hired by the Human Resources department, including “clinicians, health care administrators, human resource staff, and service staff” (Ohio University, 2020). The high-quality team provides the necessary treatment and service to help people with their health.

Another important role of HRs in healthcare is training the employees. It is crucial that “well-motivated and highly trained medical professionals are critical for the success of the national healthcare forum” (Pilai et al., 2019, p. 229). The difference between well-trained and undertrained employees can, unfortunately, show up in the fatal outcome. Every medical worker needs to have his/her certification and license to work with people and to be properly trained. The human resources department needs to create an atmosphere of equality, inclusion, and diversity in the workspace of medical workers. Discrimination based on prejudice about ethnicity, race, gender, age, and any other characteristics should not be a part of any medical staff. Healthcare providers need skilled high-quality workers regardless of any belonging because professionalism is the most valued in saving people’s lives. Everyone deserves to feel comfortable and accepted in their workplace.

Employee management is an important part of every workplace, including healthcare facilities. It includes their performance and progress because everyday inspiration and corrections are much more valuable than their yearly performance statistics. Regular checks can help workers improve their performance and feel heard. HR leaders need to track the efficiency of the team and make changes if needed. Reorganization can change the productivity and quality of healthcare workers, including firing employees that are not enough professional. Even though it is not the only goal of the Human Resources department, discipline is a crucial part of their work. Solving conflict situations, accountability for being late or unfulfilled obligations, and figuring out other issues are all HRs responsibilities. Some workers lack dispute resolution skills and need a mediator to solve their arguments. Human Resources are “responsible for ensuring services are efficient for administrative staff, clinicians, and patients” (Ohio University, 2020). It is extremely important in the medical field because of the dependency of people’s lives on workers.

Proper scheduling and rotation are crucial for wholesome medical work. The work in this field is stressful and mentally difficult. There are many other challenges in healthcare that HR managers can face. The Healthcare industry is full of rules and boundaries that help provide high-quality treatment to people. However, the Human Resources department also has its own regulations. The combination of these two structures creates a perfect atmosphere to help people be healthy. However, being an HR in the healthcare area is complicated, shifty, and takes a lot of work, but it is an honor to be a part of saving lives.
