A Constructive Health Situation

The movie “The Vow” narrates the story of Leo and Paige Collins. Leo and Paige are involved in a grisly accident. A truck hits their vehicle from behind. The two are rushed to an Emergency Ward (EW). The doctors give the best medical support to these two patients. However, the doctors realize that Paige has lost her memory after the accident.

She is unable to remember anything about her past life. Paige meets her parents for the first time after very many years (The Vow). She does not understand why she married Leo. She seems not to understand why she was not living with her parents. This accident affects Paige’s life. She is also unable to achieve her goals in life. This situation explains she finds herself in need of the best health support (The Vow). Leo supports Paige so that she can regain her memory.

This video presents a constructive health situation. This is the case because medical care should be a holistic practice. Paige requires the best support in order to remember everything about her past life (The Vow). Healing should focus on the physical, mental, psychological, emotional, and spiritual aspects of the targeted patient (The Vow).

Paige’s husband fulfills most of her emotional and psychological needs. Although Paige collaborates with different individuals, it becomes impossible for her to recall her past. This film presents powerful practices that can support the needs of many patients (The Vow). The film also identifies some gaps that made it impossible for Paige to regain her memory. Paige’s nurses and doctors failed to support her needs after she was discharged from the hospital. Family members should support every patient throughout his or her healing process.

Applying Some Aspects of Health Communication

After Paige loses her memory, her caregivers encourage every family member to continue supporting her health needs. The doctors encourage every person to help Paige until she regains her memory. The doctors also use the best health communication processes. Paige also decides to interact with different people in the society (The Vow).

This practice makes it easier for Paige to understand the issues surrounding her life. She also gets the best support from different individuals in the community (The Vow). She begins a journey of remembrance with the best support from different people. Medical practitioners should use the best strategies in order to support the changing health needs of their patients.

The concept of social support is evident in this film. Leo works hard in order to fulfill Paige’s needs and expectations. Leo does not confront or abuse Paige. He also uses the best caring practices in order to support Paige’s needs. He also encourages his wife to focus on her goals. This practice makes it easier for Paige to regain her memory (The Vow).

The issue of health communication can also produce the best outcomes. Caregivers should cooperate, mentor, communicate, and encourage their patients (The Vow). This practice will eventually support the health needs of many patients in the society. This film also encourages every society to construct more Family Nursing Homes (FNHs). Such FNHs will support the health needs of many communities. This practice will also support the health needs of different patients with terminal illnesses.
