It should be notes that there is a great diversity of rainforest all over the world. Nevertheless they have a number of distinguishing features and characteristics in terms of precipitation, climate, canopy structure, diversity of species.
Every rainforest should not conform to some of the above-presented trait and most of forests do not have distinctive boundaries and may blend with montane and moist forests. The tropical rainforest are predominantly located in the Capricorn and Cancer Tropics where sunlight sheds on Eath at about a 90-degree angle that provides a great among of energy to all plants and animals. The temperature in the rainforests considerably fluctuates because of the higher elevations.
This zone has also a high rate of humidity. Heavy rainfalls are also typical for that reason. The most tropical rainforest are those located in Northern part of South American, Central part of African and Indonesian Isles that are located in the North to Australia. Tropical rainforests have a peculiar, canopy structure consisting of such vertical layers as over-story, canopy, scrub layers, and ground layer.
It is obvious that scientists and biologist have a better awareness of the threat that constitute the today’s ecological situation for the rainforest species. Certainly, the process of extinction is natural, but the current rates and forecasting are deplorable and, therefore the role of zoos has significantly increased. These venues provide excellent approaches to protecting and conserving the global wildlife and biological diversity.
What is more important is that zoos in conservations are also aimed at preserving resources for further development of animals. The presentation of specific breeding programs and specific ecological campaigns contribute to the improvement and enrichment of the existing flora and fauna of our planet, specifically the biodiversity of tropical rainforest that suffer from deforestation and contamination.
