– Dreams are an integral part of our lives. Even though they constitute a minority, they undoubtedly hold a great importance in one’s life. Dreams are not only dreams; they are a mirror image of our brain. They reflect the mind of the individual. What we think or what we have in our mind consistently is what the dreams show us. They provide a major contribution in making a person know what he is and what kind of a personality he possesses. They open a whole new world in front of us and let us take a look into the enticing and astonishing world of dreams. If only one can decipher them and know what they mean, then only it will be fruitful.
All these dreams have a specific meaning in our lives, which we are often not able to comprehend. Often, one does not even give much importance to the dreams he sees. He lets it just go and doesn’t even think about it, doesn’t give it a second thought. In one way or the other, these dreams try to tell us about ourselves and also make us alert and aware of what lies in the future. Very few people can decipher what these dreams mean.
I often get such dreams, which I am seldom able to comprehend and decipher. But, I usually feel free to discuss my dreams with my mother and father. They do have knowledge about what dreams mean and what should be done about them. I always make it a point to discuss my dreams with them so that I may come to know what’s in store for me. They help me in every way they can. One must discuss his dreams with only those people who can help him understand the mystery behind the dreams, and not with those who listen to them and make fun of it without even trying to know what it is all about.
Sometimes, these dreams hold very sensitive information within them and once deciphered, it can make life, if not easier, more meaningful and bewares us with the oncoming dangers or mishaps or even the failures that one would encounter in life.. Not only this, dreams also inform us about good and positive things too. But, knowing about the difficult times is more important than coming to know of the positive things. Since, it is necessary to arm one against the mishaps that could occur in life. To encounter good and nice things, we need not be alert or aware. Good things are best encountered when they come as a surprise. It is basically the negative aspects that are highlighted by these dreams and which would be better if we come to know about them before they happen. Dreams also help us understand what we are and what all are our capabilities and abilities. It makes us aware of some of the things that we might not have done or tried to attempt in our lives, either out of fear or of insult. Also, some things that one needs to be aware of so as to be able to escape the bitter times in life.
I had one such dream, which helped me open myself up to the world with ultimate confidence and great zeal. I once saw in my dream that, as usual I got up for school, got dressed, caught the school bus and reached the school. Later, suddenly I was supposed to speak on the stage on a topic randomly given to children, i.e. an extempore. This is one thing that, in real life gave me Goosebumps. I just could not let myself on the stage and speak to save my life. But, in my dream, I saw that, once it was my turn to speak, I swiftly went up to the stage and started off with no stage fear whatsoever, and finished the extempore successfully followed by a thunderous applause. I was also awarded the prize for the best orator. All my friends and the teachers, who knew that such a task was not for me, were awestruck after witnessing my performance that moment. Seeing this in my dream also made me confused as to what was I doing there, when I knew it was not something that I could do and never had done in my life?
But, after having experienced such a dream, I felt different. There was a sudden thrust of confidence within me. I suddenly felt as if that which had happened with me in my dream was actually for real. I was exhilarated. My happiness knew no bounds. The reason for such an outpour of emotions was that I could never, in my wildest dreams, build up enough confidence to speak on the stage, in the presence of a large audience. It was just not my cup of tea. And after having that dream, I needed no one to explain to me its hidden meaning or decipher it for me differently. Everything was crystal clear in front of me.
From then onwards, I made it a point to practice my oratory skills and now, I’m one of the best orators in my school. Maybe, it was what I had always wanted to attain. It was definitely one of my biggest fears. But, never did I know that I’d be able to overcome this very fear of mine ever. I then realized that our dreams are based on what we have inside our hearts and minds. It reflects what we desire and wish to do in our lives. Each and every small dream has a particular significance. It means something or the other related to us. Dreams also tell us about our loved ones and friends. Some dreams, no matter how bad and unpleasant, they may mean something positive, irrespective of how bad they were.
Dreams play a very important part in carving a person and making him aware of his shortcomings and how to overcome them. It’s important to know how to decipher them and understand what those dreams want to communicate with us. Not all can do this, but an outside help can solve this problem.
