Introduction
The organization is a word, which stands for any institute ranging from a company, a business, a school, or even a college. In other words, the organizational structure is the method of constructing a team of highly gifted, qualified, motivated, and fervent individuals to attain the set objectives and targets within an organization. These institutes can either be made with the aim of growing up or spreading light to the world. This process is carried out to enable the smooth running of any organization, which is in operation. For an organization to fair well, it is important to adopt effective work design and organized structure in its operations. These two combined to enable the growth of many organizations in such ways as encouraging the employees to work hard and efficiently. In any organization where there is cooperation, there is nothing difficult and the employees feel that they are in the right place hence can work to their best.
Lack of a proper work design and organizational structure has been known to cause the downfall of many organizations. Proper study is therefore required to make sure that the organization is always running high. Improvement of competitive benefit is also another benefit of adopting work design and organizational design. In this essence, effectual organizational design produces a well-aligned, smooth running, and profit-generating business that is required to gather the demands of an uneven marketplace. (O’Neill 402)
Adopting effective work design and organized structure has been known to produce happy workers hence the growth of many organizations. In this response, effectual organizational design forms a society of commitment. The workers fully understand their responsibilities, powers, and the aim of the company. This makes them proud of their work since they have a major impact on the success of the organization.
It is said that if a worker is handled and respected fully, they can work even better and faster than a machine. They can also promote the organization since they will be proud of the area of their work. Improvement of customer satisfaction is another role that has played in the growth of organizations. In this aspect, the workers have the mandate of bringing excellent services and products that satisfy customers’ wants. If the customers are fully satisfied, this means that the organization will grow. The failure to recognize a customer in an organization slows the flow of that organization and causes its eventual death.
As a result, stern measures must be put in place to ensure that customers are carefully handled in order for the organizations to grow fast. Improvement of financial performance is also another advantage of work design. In essence, when the worker’s expectations are fully understood, there is better output and little waste, which can result in big profits for the business. (Lingham)
A good example of an organization that has adopted work design and organizational structure in its operations is Toyota. This company uses incentives meant to increase customer satisfaction in its organization. Customers enjoy incentives like after-sale services, bonuses, and discounts, which have increased the sales of the company. This service makes the customer feel recognized and allows them to feel a part of that company.
By so doing, it is hard for the customer to leave the company since it has favorable services. Improvement of workers’ happiness is also practiced. Another example of an organization, which has adopted work design and organizational structure is Coca-Cola. This company has come up with ways, which have enabled the company to run fast. Some of these strategies include the improvement of workers’ happiness. Coca-Cola Company recognizes the efforts made by workers something that makes them feel comfortable while working for the company.
Since it is said that where there is happiness nothing is hard, the Coca-Cola Company has grown fast reaching nearly every corner of the world. Improvement of customer satisfaction has been used by the company. This practice has encouraged their customers very much. Organizations play a great role in enhancing the growth of the world. Many organizations have adopted work design and organizational structure within their operations something that has fanned their growth. The work design and organizational structure have been divided into some sectors like improvement of financial performance, improvement of competitive benefits, improvement of workers happiness, improvement of customer’s satisfaction among others. All these combined have played a great role in the growth of many organizations. Some companies like Coca-Cola and Toyota have adopted these strategies with numerous successes. Due to the success of the practice, work design and organizational structure is something that every organization should endeavor to practice.
