This essay discusses about similarities and dissimilarities in the behaviour of different children participated in the learning experience. Development stages of one child are different from other child. Family, society, culture, neighbourhood etc. are different factors affecting the development stages of a child. Greta is two and half year old girl from Australia. She is a healthy and smart girl. She got good support from her family. According to Bronfenner’s ecological system theory different levels like microsystem, exosystem, macrosystem, mesosystem, etc have a clear influence in a child development stage. Microsystem which is the deepest level of the ehological system has different components like family, child care centre, and neighbourhood. Mesosystem shows the connective relationship between two Microsystems. Exosystem shows the social situations that in some ways effect the immediate surrounding.

Macrosystem is in the topmost level which include morals, laws principles and governing and political body. (Assisgn 2 Case Study Young Chn). In this essay give more importance to the influence of microsystem in and young child development and learning. These systems have a great influence on this learning experience also. Here family, childcare centre, neighbourhood etc. come under the microsystem.

Greta gets good scaffolding from her centre. She shows its impact in her behaviour. Some students like Greta start working independently as well as cooperatively with others in necessary situation. They start to understand things and are ready for accepting support from the peers and guidance from the teachers. Children show a cooperating mentality for achieving a common goal. They may use different methods for this cooperative working.

Here child like Greta uses an individual understanding style. It is a successful method in her case. Some children show a helping or assisting nature. This type of character is commonly seen in children for achieving a common goal. According to Radziszewska and Rogoff “Intersubjectivty can be seen when there is shared responsibility and consideration of the ideas presented.” (Evidence of Social Co-operation and Intersubjectivity, assignment 3 yng chn (preview)).

In Greta’s language development, her microsystem perticulary her childcare centre has ma major role. From her family she got a rich environment which helps very much. Her mum bought books and her parents promote reading habit. Beside that from her child care centre Greta acquire language development and development method in a nice way. Her peers help her truly. She share the interesting stories, what she read from books, with her peers. Her macrosystem also helps to promote her language development. As per the Australian laws and policies, Greta’s child care centre gave priority for the literacy development.

According to Vygotsky’s opinion children develop an ability to accept instructions from more experienced peers. This has happened in Greta’s case also. Children like Greta use their lunch time and routine time for nurturing their language skill and to mingle with peer groups. It also helps to improve the self-esteem and common sense. Greta uses this kind of chances in a positive way and it helps her to cooperate with centre environment.

Children’s thinking way and understanding capacity are different from one to another. In the activity of serving own sandwiches at lunch time using tongs some students like ‘P’ easily serve the sandwich to their plate. At the same time some students like Greta struggle to do the same activity. Here a student like ‘P’ shows a helping mentality to achieve the goal and students like Greta accept their help and successfully obtain the specific goal. In the fourth observation it is clear that all children keep a self esteem in their mind.

According to Vygotsky’s socio-cultural theory, children practice loud speaking to self understanding. At that time they can work things within their mind. This theory advise parents to give opportunity for their children to live in different social situation. At that time they get opportunity for interaction and it is a learning experience for them. By this way they can improve their knowledge level and can create new ideas and concepts. (Vygotsky & Socio-Cultural Theory).

Greta’s social development is also had a close relation to her ecological system. He is a healthy girl. She had an adjusting mentality and tries to cooperate with peers. Greta is not an introverted child. She tries to interact with her peer groups and ready to absorb knowledge from them. It helps her for the self improvement. Some children do not express this type attitude. Those kind children may grow as introverted personality. Beside that she is an intelligent child. She has the ability to learn and understand things by seeing one or two times.

In a childing development ecological system plays a major role. Greta gets a suitable atmosphere for her physical and mental development. Her parents enough affection and consideration for her and she had loving inveighers. In the childcare she gets good friends and teachers. From the positive care from the family and childcare helps her to develop as a healthy and intelligent girl.

From this essay it is clear that there is a clear influence of the microsystem to the language development and socio cultural development of a child. Children learn such things by mingling with peer groups. Every child has an innate ability to acquire knowledge. Teachers and other supporting factors help them to nourish those kinds of abilities.
