The drama brings out the fascinating picture of hurt and hope, pain and love and sorrow and joy which is applicable in a parent-child relationship. The director brings to the attention of the parents how they can complicate their lives even when it is within their reach. It depicts a picture of a mother made of steel who has perfected the art of manipulation in order to survive.
The drama offers a family an opportunity for conversation. A clear picture of the family is brought to fore in the drama Bette and Boo. They describe violence to depict the failure of family life. The drama describes a young family and their marriage breakdown as explained by one of their sons. The drama captures such themes as hypocrisy of Catholic Church, parental neglect and alcoholism in family.
Portrayal of Relationships
