Introduction
The story of man’s fall after creation by God has many negative consequences for today’s people. These consequences drag on for many years and ultimately greatly affect the lives of people today. The appearance of various diseases can be considered from the point of view of religion as a consequence of this fall and means the punishment of a person.
Discussion
However, medicine in the modern world is developed enough to make it possible to argue that various diseases have their physiological causes. At the same time, microorganisms play a key role in what is the causative agent of disease. The diseases, however, are similar to how the fall of man from paradise developed. If the mechanism of correct assembly and degradation of proteins fails, then the proteins aggregate, which leads to the development of neurodegenerative diseases (Höhn et al. 2020). Thus, the disease process is similar to people’s spiritual development.
In some cases, spiritual influence can have a significant effect on the disease or its treatment. Under certain conditions, the placebo effect can work in a person, which, through self-persuasion, makes a person think that the disease is being treated (Colloca, 2019). This effect works with dummy drugs, and in this case, it can also work with some spiritual practices that will then really help people heal. If spiritual practices work together with medical ones, then human diseases can be cured much faster. However, the question remains whether it is possible to overcome the disease preventively without allowing it to develop in the same way as self-persuasion. Similar techniques could be an innovative discovery in medicine and proof of the limitless possibilities of human consciousness.
Conclusion
It can be concluded that a person’s faith strongly influences how his diseases develop and proceed. Undoubtedly, medical developments should not be underestimated and neglected. However, human consciousness is capable of much, including convincing the body that the disease is receding. This can allow people to distribute the load on their bodies more efficiently. If such directions continue to develop in people, then civilization will leap in evolution.
