Introduction

The United States holds presidential elections every four years as a long-term interactive process that includes two major political decision-making processes. First, the two parties’ presidential candidates are chosen in the primary election. Second, the presidential election begins after each party’s candidates are officially selected. Candidates start announcing their candidacy early in the first few months of the year before the election, that is, two years before the election. In the United States, each political party chooses only one presidential candidate.

Trumps Abortion Activists

When Donald Trump announced that he would run for president again in 2024, many of those who supported him when he tried to steal the election rejected him outright. Of course, he was an easy target, but abortion stopped the Republican red tide. His complete disregard for the impropriety of his actions, especially concerning his brand and business, and his apparent desire to use his previous presidency for his financial and personal gain are two hallmarks. After going to work for more years, he broke the no-deprivation record and has personally benefited from his residence, ballpark, resort, and other activities ever since. Trump had gone to great lengths to avoid potential conflicts of interest between his public office and private business. During official trips, he insisted on staying at his hotel and holding government events and meetings for special interests at his property. The friendship and funding that President Trump has injected into the federal government have short-term and long-term outcomes with great potential. At every stage of Trump’s presidency, he has demanded loyalty or promised loyalty from people who want to work for the federal government.

Some of Trump’s favored candidates have indeed lost the most important battlegrounds. The bipartisan coalition has also rejected Republican candidate states that enthusiastically support big lies on every major battleground. Voters undoubtedly expressed their displeasure with Trump and his damage to democracy. Democrats and Republicans should never re-elect Trump as president, even though the abortion issue will never save them. The Republican Party has won over everyone except young people. Last week, even opponents of abortion rights saw the power of data. Gracie Skogman told Politico that they had a record number of young people voting, many motivated by abortion. Sadly, they do not share the pro-life vision of the anti-abortion movement. Sixty percent of respondents to the Edison Poll and the AP Repeal Poll disapproved of the Supreme Court’s Dobbs decision (Matos & Miller, 2021). Moreover, Roy’s voters are in key swing states, although popular Republican candidates running in red states with strict abortion bans easily won re-election with the support of many of Dobbs’ opponents.

In Michigan and Pennsylvania, abortion cites economic concerns as the most important issue. In Michigan, an abortion referendum helped Democrats win control of both chambers of the Senate. Pro-choice voters outnumber pro-life balloters in every poll, and Republicans, Democrats, and enough independents vote to keep abortion legal. Since the Supreme Court’s decision in June, legal abortion rights have gained popularity, and today’s young voters are more supportive of abortion rights than previous generations. Additionally, Republicans are now more supportive of legalizing abortion. It is not entirely clear whether Trump will accept a waiver of the abortion ban as he has become the first candidate to appear in the 2024 Republican primary. His former vice president, Mike Pence, has expressed support for the country’s ban, and there is a high possibility of contesting. As a result, Republicans have remained silent on the issue even though they recognize it has hurt them this year and could hurt them again in 2024.

Conclusion

Stimulating democracy and promoting a culture of citizenship is essential. Presidential powers require immediate attention to the electoral commissions and other institutional flaws. Recognizing institutional problems requires a different analysis and approach than most Americans who wanted to elect a president with anti-democratic tendencies. The reality of most of the candidates in today’s presidential elections is a civil contest with America’s aspirations where a majority vote is needed.
