Based on the data obtained, it should be noted that the total expenditure on sports is growing every year. Even though in 2020, due to the pandemic, many activities were under restrictions, this did not prevent the total amount of spending from increasing (National golf foundation, n.d.). Furthermore, detailed statistics indicate that the availability of sports is decreasing since these sports can exert financially solid pressure on people. It should also be noted that the data presented in the table were determined relative to people who do not engage in these sports professionally. Such expenses can increase many times if a person strives to participate in various competitions or use more advanced equipment. This is especially reflected in golf, as the occupation of this sport is one of the most expensive. This is due to certain factors related to the high cost of field maintenance and their relative remoteness (National golf foundation, n.d.). Thus, people may need to spend a lot more money because golf courses are expensive to rent.
Furthermore, an interesting statistic is that spending on running exceeds spending on American football. At this point, the peculiarity is that people prefer to use modern technologies that improve their health for jogging. The fields for the amateur game of American football are pretty accessible; however, if the classes reach the professional level, the expenses increase significantly. This is due to the high equipment cost and payment for classes in various sports clubs. Also, one of the cheap sports, in this case, is tennis. The availability of fields and the relative cheapness of equipment determine the availability of this sport.
