Due to so many up comings facing the community today, there is a need for a revised and approved the fiscal year 2021 proposed budget. First of all, it is acknowledged that the coronavirus pandemic has altered almost every aspect of the life of a normal being. The pandemic has challenged the physical emotional and general health of all the inhabitants of this mighty state.it has interfered with almost all parts of life including transportation, employment and even deprived us of some of the most important people to the economy of this state. It has left some of the young generations of this state emotionally unstable due to the loss of some of the most important people in their lives. Most notably its effect on our economy cannot go unnoticed when talking about its impact on society.
The Budget Time Table
The coronavirus has led to many people losing their jobs due to the lockdown and closure of many physical working places such as industries and white color job offices. Because of this and other critical issues, I together with my diligent staff had to put a lot of caution when preparing the 2021 budget that we are about to release today. The budget consist of measures to help in recovering what went wrong when the pandemic strike and try to take things back to normal as they were in the good old days. We had to put all our minds onto making the report so that we make sure that we come up with a budget that covers all the areas that need consideration. The budget was made and discussed at length by economy analysts and mostly concerning the current situation of the state.
The proposal for this year is projected to consume a total of 48,000,000 US dollars. A large portion of the amount is allocated to issues concerning the health and welfare of the people. Taxes grants and bonds are estimated to accumulate a total of 30 million dollars with the rest of the fund coming from the state investments. Schools have been allocated a total of 12 million dollars. This cumulative sum will be used building new school buildings, renovation of school buildings, and the making of graduation spaces in various parts of the state
In the past years, water hygiene has been a major issue because of a lack of investment in water management techniques. A total of 2 million dollars has been allocated to help in setting up sewage treatment companies across the state and the renovation of the state’s watering system. The fund will also cover up for supplying clean water in various institutions such as schools and hospitals. As a long-lasting way to conserve natural water, the state has invested in setting up research institutes that will research matters concerning the conservation of the environment and the natural habitat. Schools churches and private institutions will also be taught the importance of conserving the environment as a long-term way of preventing water pollution.
In a world where technology and inventions are a way of life, 20 million dollars has been set aside to cater for the same. New technological equipment and gadgets will be purchased in various fields of technology ranging from the agricultural sector to electricity. The fund is as well planned to be able to aid in the setting up of modern car manufacturing companies. This will aid the state in saving importation costs and will also help the normal in securing job opportunities in the company as we all know the level of unemployment in our state. The infrastructures such as roads electricity will be improved near the companies and this will result in long term development of the respective areas. The fact that this company will provide a market for our local products will help in raising the living standards of the residence and as well reduce the exportation cost.
In the making of the budget, one of the most important aspects of living was not forgotten. A large sum totaling 5 million dollars has been accounted for by the state health organization to be used to renovate hospitals, buy modern treatment devices build new hospitals, and as well cater for people who cannot afford to pay for their hospital bills. Rehabilitation centers will also be installed to help in doing the therapy for emotionally disturbed patients. In addition to this, more health education centers will be constructed as a way to educate the public on matters concerning their health. Following the pandemic that has stricken the state for the past one year doctors and health professionals will have the salary be raised by 2 percent. They will also enjoy allowances to help them work in a favorable environment. In an attempt to protect the lives of our beloved children, the tobacco and vape products purchase age has been raised to twenty-one years from eighteen.
The coronavirus lasted for a year and during this period almost all the state was under lockdown. This resulted in the use of almost all the foodstuffs that had been used by residents. It is projected that in about a year without proper preparation the state can experience a food crisis, 10 million dollars will be used to set up food manufacturing industries and this will help in reducing food wastage and as well reduce the amount of processed food brought into the country. This will also help in stabilizing the food stock used during the pandemic. Additionally, the setting up of industries, development of infrastructure, and improvement of technology will lead to an increase in the state revenue by 12 percent and on the other hand increasing jobs and employment opportunities by 15%. Mathematically, this is a gross improvement of the state’s economy by 10% of all the data as compared to the year 2020
