Learning is a process that needs to be done interactively between students and tutors. Trainees can be made to understand lessons best by accessing technological learning tools. In the recent past, technology has been developed to accommodate learners and provide studying material easily, unlike in the past. Engaging scholars actively in classes using electronic media makes it easy for them to complete assignments without struggles. The recent advancement in know-how in the world pushes the use of scientific devices as undergraduates have to keep up-to-date with the latest high-tech. Education has never been this effective in the past when there was a lack of technical tools as compared to the recent introduction of learning gears.
The use of Google forms as a learning tool has proven to be one of the most effective ways for students to gain knowledge. Learners can use this means to question issues they need elaboration on, get feedback, and access their tutors via the Internet. The lecturer has an option of leaving an exit slip by asking a question for apprentices to respond to (Lofdahl & Zabanal, 2019). The option in the Google form can be put in such a way that students will message the teacher easily.
The Kahoot tool has been used widely in the recent past to engage learners more in the learning process. It enables tutors to create quizzes in class as well as questionnaires that guide the students to gauge how much they have learned and what areas may need more attention. This feature is compatible with most technological devices, making them more accessible (Ola, 2022). The gadget makes scholars more interested as they have a game-like feel when they use it.
Another technological tool that helps students engage more actively in the learning process is the Class Dojo. This tool enables learners to create avatars lose, and gain points that are based on their behavior in the classroom. The marks are further determined by discussion tactics and other skills as agreed by the class together with the teacher. Scholars are forced to work hard to participate in the studying procedure in this kind of setting (Ola, 2022). This happens since most of them want to compete at the top with the most points scored in class.
Clickers are a useful technological tool for students to learn in the modern era. This tool can be used each day by tutors to assess learners’ progress, especially after covering some topics in session. Teachers use this feature to project tools on their screens as apprentices answer them in real time. This aspect enables tutors to have an idea of how scholars have understood different subjects in class (Vasileva et al., 2018). Answers are sent to the educator’s screen, and they can tell how much clarification and attention should be given to some areas in the lesson.
Admittedly, learning has been made simpler with the recent innovations in technology, especially using tools such as Google Forms, Kahoot, Class Dojo, and clickers. In the past, there was no quick access to devices for studying, unlike in the modern era. Therefore, learning has become smooth, and learners can participate more actively in classes. Scholars and teachers should adopt the features of technology to make studying easier and more fun. The involvement of the technological apparatus in the process of tutoring and coaching helps students to be more active in education.
