Fit or fat? – is the most reasonable issue which concerns the health of an individual. When one needs to be more careful about a current state of his/her well-being, it is vital not only to weigh and look in the mirror. There should be widely provided testing procedures. In fact, it is a well-known fact that Americans are the fattest people in the world. It is a feature of the nation when there is a survey on people’s mentality and ability to live and take care of them. It is not surprising that the more people realize the significance of health protection, the more they pay attention on their appearance and appearance of others.
The risk of additional weight on health is quite great due to several reasons. The most significant is that it overloads the work of heart and provides complications with cardio-vascular system causing various diseases. Perpetual testing is the tool which can precisely estimate the situation over current problems as a result of excess weight. More accurate procedures can be achieved due to contemporary technologies and approaches in medicine and private clinics, where such technologies are faster implied. Even those people being plain may have diseases as of fat and wrong nutrition. It is reckoned according to one journal that psychological ground is quite important: “Fredrickson and Roberts (1997) posited that self-objectification leads to decreased motivation because uninhibited, productive, and creative states of mind are incompatible with the self-consciousness of body monitoring.” (Cited in Gapinski, 2003, p. 377)
With regards to the question of fitness as a result of fatness, it is rather absurd to think that it is connected somehow. Harvey Diamond in his book claims: “Not fat for life – fit for life!” (Diamond, 2003, p. ix) This rejection of any supposition about fatness as a good condition for well-being of a man is supported with the idea of numerous facts of deaths inflicted by the excess weight impacts.
There are several ways for health problems initial prevention. First, it concerns the right and balanced nutrition with a calculated regime for meals administration. It is highly important how many calories have one consumed with food. Another factor is the consistence of food: whether eatables are heavy for eating and whether it is digested normally without any complications. The content of vitamins is also grave for healthy environment within an organism. That is why one should consume more fruits and vegetables. If an individual has already gained excess kilos, so there must be an appropriate diet program. There many of diet types and one of them is low carbohydrate diet, which is outlined in one article written in Journal of Consumer Affairs, namely: “One consequence of the popularity of low-carbohydrate diets in recent years has been the proliferation of carbohydrate-related claims on consumer packaged goods (e.g., “carb smart,” “carb conscious,” “carb fit”).” (Kemp & Burton, 2007, p. 47)
Second, there must be more movements and goings for sports. Being amorphous means a “delay” which may definitely cause martyrdom full of cardio-vascular diseases, as was mentioned above. Sport gives body natural tension and beauty which is needful for better circulation of blood and work of organs on the whole.
