Description of the Organization

Services

This organization provided a wide range of medical therapies to different segments of the community. “The assumption underlying this principle is that physical, psychological, emotional, economic, and social healths are all elements of the health of a community.” (Rowitz, 2003, p.9).

It also provides pre-emptive and therapeutic care in terms of counseling sessions for Drugs and Alcoholic Rehabilitation (DAR), oncology, and HIV/AIDS prevention, and condition management and offers specialized treatment for all age groups and communities of any kind of discrimination. The broad spectrum of activities and services provided by this clinic are:

  • Pre-medical screening for various diseases and conditions
  • Therapeutic management of patients and monitoring progress
  • Use of fully equipped radiology and laboratory functions
  • 24-Hour Chemist and round the clock Ambulance services

Clientele

Its clientele comprises patients and their careers from all segments of society and all age groups covered under Medicare and Medicaid. Besides, it is also amenable to private patients who seek specialized medical providers of their choice. “Their focus, after all, is on improving the health of the communities they live and work in.” (Rowitz, 2003, p.13).

Over the years, it is believed that it would cater to the specialized medical needs of the community.

Type of organization

It is a non-profit making organization whose main objectives are the upliftment of current health care standards in the community and the provision of high-quality treatment facilities at no extra cost. In the long run, the clinic shall create self-generating funds for broader patient care modernization plans.

Mission Statement

The Organization’s Mission Statement

The role it envisages is to provide integrated medical health guidance and quality care delivery systems without discrimination and ensure the provision of adequate patient care, provider commitment, and leader-driven facilitative treatment. This needs to ensure that the highest standards of care and treatment be afforded by leaders at minimum cost to patients and their careers.

Support of the ethical system

The medical interventions offered to patients are provided with their consent and after apprising them of their health conditions and the best options available to them.

The choice of line of treatment is decided in a three-dimensional process by involving the patients, their careers, and health care providers and leaders. In effect, the overall health care aspects of patients are given topmost priority.

Message of the mission statement

The strong and vibrant message that this mission statement sends out to the community would be in terms of the nonbiased and committed level of health care that could be provided by this new public health clinic. The role that it has assigned for itself in the care-providing areas in terms of medical excellence at affordable costs to the community. Leaders in health care need to align themselves with present care health delivery systems. “They need to know about past events, understand the realities of the present, and have a vision of the future.” (Rowitz, p.23).

In an age where commercial considerations assume precedence over patient care and consideration, it is necessary that clinics of this kind be encouraged and supported by the community in order to offer them the opportunities necessary to carry out their mission and vision objectives without hindrances or challenges.

Value Statements

The organization’s Vision Statement

What the organization envisages for the future would be in terms of a total orientation of public health providers and medical infra-structure towards integration of different facets and levels of patient management towards the highest standards of medical care and attention. It is necessary that in order to achieve this objective, the medical leaders, providers, and support staff should be totally committed and mentally geared towards high service performance and focused on unflinching medical care in the best interests of all concerned. The vision statement also envisions the maintenance of the highest legal and ethical standards as set forth in its mission statement with respect to patient management and care. It also provides for keeping the best health interests of the patient in mind at all times, and in the event of any uncertainty, this factor would be the guiding feature as much as patient care is concerned. This would also be reflected in the patient-provider relationship, which needs to be nurtured and fostered in the years to come. The main objective of this health clinic is not the number of patients who approach the clinic for medical attention and treatment but the degree of trust and satisfaction that is bestowed to this institution in future years. Patient contentment is a major issue that confronts medical and health care arenas today, and this clinic shall grant it the topmost priority and concern.

How values inspire action and influence behavior

These values inspire action in that both health providers and patients enjoy better mutual trust and understanding, which facilitates the provision of easier, faster, and convenient treatment mechanisms. The negative aspects of medical care in terms of costs, length of time of treatment, and post treatment factors are well taken care of, at the initials stages itself, and strategic and well structured medical plans are provided to each patient, in line with the needs and requirements of patients. During this time, patients are also given opportunities to revise or reschedule treatment procedures or practices in consultation with health leaders and providers. In other words, health care has come to mean a two-way flexible process involving both patients and providers and is not thrust upon patients. This also brings about changed behavior patterns among patients since they are given to believe that treatment is in their best curative and health care protection interests.

Values in relation to the organization’s mission

This clinic seeks to play a pivotal avant-garde role in the prophylactic and therapeutic systems of 21st-century health care delivery systems. Its mission statement seeks to reinforce this perspective by providing the best care at affordable prices to a large segment of the community. It also seeks to offer flexibility and choice to patients and their careers, in line with their needs and constraints,

The promoters of this clinic are aware of the strong competitive aspects that impinge upon medical business in the present environment, with incumbent risks and challenges, especially with regard to its medico-legal implications.

Conclusion

Keeping this firmly in mind, the Board of Directors shall ensure that legal and regulatory mandates, as prescribed by law, shall be enforced in the conduct of this business and shall be continually honored, not only to maintain conformity and compliance mechanism but also to provide this as the foundation for robust provider-patient relationships.
