Agricultural sectors have been the backbone of many economies in the world. Many countries will embark and capitalize on the agricultural sector to achieve the realization of its set goals and objectives. In revenue allocation, more funds are set aside to assist in promoting the agriculture of any country. The agricultural sector is associated with increased growth and innovation as compared with other sectors of an economy.

I agree with the fact that the agricultural sector has been associated with realities like increased growth and innovation, generation of employment opportunities, farms owned by family members and all farmers taking measures to conserve the environment. The study has shown that farmers are coming up with new ways of doing farming in each and every day. Over fifty-one percent of agriculturists in Canada are evaluating various ways of improving on agribusiness. The efforts have been successful, thanks to the advanced technology. I do not disagree with the misconceptions with the Canadians concerning the agriculture sector. Some of the misconceptions are illustrated in the report are that the sector is shrinking with no modernization and innovation. Moreover, the area has been regarded as not being sustainable, environment-friendly and shifting ownership from family towards corporate business. The misconceptions were conducted by Agricultural and federal governments’ department. However, the misconceptions would later be regarded as not the facts that affect Canada’s agribusiness sector.

The CFIB conducted research among farmers in Canada. The study was aimed to combat the previous misconceptions that had been presented. The study was carried out to agricultural producers in all the sub-sectors of agriculture. For example crop farming, animal and livestock farming and horticulture, vegetable and fruit farming. Respondents from different farming areas in Canada were necessary to achieve a balanced opinion of the study.

I agree with the CFIB report that Canadians are eager and well prepared to acquire sophisticated and advanced technology to take agriculture to the next level. It’s in my opinion that most of the Canadian agriculturists will take up modernized measures to ensure that agribusiness provides increase employment opportunities, provides quality food and also provides income for families to undertake other life requirements.

Small business owners in Canada will want to venture into a business that will thrive in future. The study has confirmed that indeed investing in agribusiness in Canada is a profitable business that small medium enterprises can consider investing in. In reality, the study showed that over 95% of the farmers in Canada take measures to conserve the environment. It’s important to note that the many of the farmers in Canada are embracing and investing in machinery, equipment and vehicles that are environmental friendly and that are efficient in energy. I have also found important that many of the farmers improve the care of hazardous products to make sure the refuse do not interfere with the human health. Nonetheless, farmers protect waterways and water sources because they understand that they are essential in agricultural production. The study also reveals that over 50% of the farmers will adopt practices that conserve energy.

The research contradicts the prior misconceptions and shows how the farmers are active towards adopting guidelines and measures that are deemed to help improve the agricultural sector. The CFIB has remained focused in ensuring that it acts as the bridge between the federal government and the farmers. The CFIB that is powered by the entrepreneurs ensures it protects the small medium enterprises especially those that venture in agribusiness. A government has the responsibilities to foster competition in agriculture and promote agriculture realities. The competition will benefit the consumers in that they get quality products at affordable prices, and they have a variety of farm products to choose from. According to the CFIB report, farmers have certain priorities that they wish from the governments’ action. Some of the priorities include; reduced tax burden, reduced red tape and increased resources, focus and industrial development, research and innovation. The CFIB is on the front line in fighting for the farmers issues and presenting the grievance to the Canadian federal government on behalf of the farmers. The CFIB has remained focused in fighting for friendlier policies.

The CFIB report has shown that the Canadian agricultural sector is thriving, and one can consider venturing in. The realities of the agricultural sector are very positive on the outcome of the agribusiness. The fact that over 40 per cent of the farmers plans to expand their agribusiness in the coming three years give positive hopes for the sector. The increased growth arrangements are essential in attaining overall economic growth and development for the country. Increased growth and development will offer better opportunities to small business owners in the other sectors of the economy.

I would recommend the report to new small business owners. The report is much comprehensive and the response from the farmers portrays a positive bigger picture of the agricultural sector. The report depicts the agricultural sectors as an area worth investing with loaded benefits attached to the same. Small business owners are sure to grow and develop in the industry and to pass on the success of their family members. Venturing in the sector will aid the farmers to improve their living standards.
