In everyday life, one needs to make changes to their career. It can be important in case one needs to be successful. This is because, in everyday life, things do change, and thus one should be flexible so that they can be able to fit in this changing world. Therefore, everyone seeking a job has to have time to reflect on their career. So, it could be possible to develop a plan in future of what you would like to achieve. One can make both short term and long term career plans.
In the short term, one has to develop realistic goals and objectives that need to be accomplished in that short time. In making a career plan, one should be free from the career barriers that include personal barriers like lack of motivation, be free from family pressure and peer pressure. In avoidance of these, it becomes possible for one to make a plan that will not contradict in the future and make one’s plans fail. (Collins, 1994)
In career planning, you should not put much pressure on yourself as this can affect the outcome of the decisions that have to be made in all areas, and thus, one will lead to getting the wrong information, as the plan will be affected. Therefore, one should be sure of what they expect to do in future. So in planning, there is a cue of what is expected to be included in that plan. In making this plan then one has to consider the current lifestyle and the current job so that in making the plan then you will be sure of what you are to change so that the right information is given. Also, one needs to analyze their passion. One has to reflect on the times when they feel energetic and other changes that occur in one’s body.
This way, it becomes possible to get the correct changes that occur in the workplace. Therefore, one can make the relevant changes in the plan. So, in case of a new job one will be able to produce highly. One needs to analyze their strengths and weaknesses in terms of work experience, the training that one has, skill development and personal characteristics. In such areas, one can be able to make amendments to the changes as they are required. One needs to analyze the expected success based on power, control, and other areas where one can achieve success.
There is a need to analyze the personality. It becomes easier to get information about the working style, analyze the dream job that one has. This way, they can know how to work out so that this dream can be achieved. Also, there is a need to analyze the current situation where one is in to know the starting point. In making the career plan then there are steps that one has to follow, and they include: one needs to identify the career move in that if one had many choices, then there is the need to narrow them to get the expected choice that is more beneficial as compared to the others.
One needs to conduct detailed research on career so that the information received will be free from bias and be used to make further changes in an open career. Need to make the list of the qualification that one requires achieving and knowing the steps to make to get the information that will not confuse them in making the necessary changes. Make a comparison of the current profile with the qualifications required for that particular job. This way, it does not lead to disqualification due to a lack of the expected grades that one has to achieve to qualify. (Bonny, 1990)
There is a need to develop a plan to get the required qualification and know the changes that are to be made and thus can be through doing additional training and getting more experience of that required task. In career planning, there are career assessment tools designed to give a better idea of the person’s interests and attitudes that are to be related to the career choices. There is also a need for career change resources which are the required resources to make changes. Career exploration resources help one learn more about the different areas like the job that one requires and the careers. There is the career research checklist in this one that gets the tools that the planners require. There are college planning resources in this. There is a need to find all the educational training required to be made in this kind of job or career. (Katty, 1990)
There are transferable skills that is one may require skills that were developed before. Therefore, it becomes easy for this person to make the necessary changes that are required. There is the use of SWOT analysis whereby one learns the strategic tools that can be applied and lead to success so that one can use them for marketing themselves. Also, there is a workplace assessment to better understand the core values required in job, career, and employer.
In the career analysis path, there is the advancement analysis group. It makes sure that there is professional development achieved by each employee. This has to be achieved by providing the right training to them to have the required skills required for that particular job. If one is not fully trained, then to have the expected performance is not easy. One will be expected to apply the training that has been received. Due to the lack of this training, then it leads to a lack of right job performance. Therefore, there is a need for the employers to maintain an ongoing dialogue with the employees so that they can get the required feedback that will be applied in making changes to the areas that require amendments.
Therefore, the employer will know how to make development in the economy by ensuring that they make much produce. Also, they will know how to go about the financial problems that are based on the company. That can be done by making a thorough check on the records so that they can be able to get the required solutions. In school, I received skills on a creative project. In my second year, we were getting more information that was based on this course. I received skills that required few changes. I make the best that is required for anyone. This is because we had been taught how to make plans that could lead to success in whatever project one had. Therefore to drop out of college completely was not of great impact as I knew I was able to come up with something constructive. (Alfred, 1987)
In my career, to make it fit what I wanted to become, it became a problem, but it was easy to change been that I was just in my second year, so to make changes was not a task as I could include the lessons that were for the first year in my second year and be able to do the best. In developing my personality, I was able to make a better performance in the workplace. This is because when one has an acceptance that outside activities influence the working performance, then one has control over the relationship of the things that surround them. Therefore, one has to have the right attitude towards the job that is to be performed so that one can achieve the expected performance.
To have personal development, one has to have a plan. It will be divided into terms of occupational and non-occupational components. The former includes the social, financial, recreational and other areas that one requires. By the latter, there is the use of non-work time so that it can lead to enhancement of the job performance. One has to set goals that are required to be achieved, and therefore, there is a need to have the goals set in the right manner. Therefore, it will give the person the desire to make further advancements that will be used to evaluate the goals. One has to know the problems that are based on the goals and how to make changes to them so that they can benefit the concerned. (Dorcas, 2000)
After the evaluation of these goals then there is a need to have a plan for success whereby one will be able to make the necessary plan that will lead to the success of the goals that are made. If one has developed the right personal development, then it becomes possible for such a person to be able to succeed. Therefore, a leaner has to ensure that the right changes have to be made so that they can lead to positive change in one’s life.
The development has to be developed by everyone who requires to have the right career so that in any way one will get what they had dreamt of and through this then it becomes very easy to make the changes that are required by the employers in the workplace. Any employee to succeed has to develop the right personality so that they can be able to work out the goals that are set by the employer, and through this, then it will become possible for them to provide all the best in that particular company.
In order to achieve the grades of making me be able to pursue well in the field where I intended to be, I had to do the required practice that required much concentration on my classwork. Therefore, this concentration had a high impact on my life because I knew that I was supposed to work hard so that what I had dreamt of becoming would be true. In this, I had to make the decision that I will spend most of my time taking my homework and also having other time for practical work in this. I had to attend a company that would enable me to get that skills that I could apply in future.
Therefore, I was forced to follow what the employer required of me. In this company, things were hard as there was no task that seemed simple. Therefore, I found it hard to work perfectly, but what I had to do was to make a decision whether to make changes to my course of being able to accommodate the pressure that was exerted in the workplace.
The conclusion that I had was to make changes to my career so that I could find another job that was not stressful in my life. Having wasted all that time taking a course that was not helpful, I had to surrender and be ready for the challenges that were waiting in my life, but I developed courage and decided to make all that could assist me in achieving what I expected, and at the long run, I came up to be the best employee, and thus I knew through concentration in work then one can succeed. (Jose, 1992)
In any career that one has to choose, then it should be based on the challenges that are to be faced, and through knowing the problems then it becomes easy to know whether to accept such a career or not. All the careers that people have to choose should be based on how one will be able to make the best performance in the workplace, and through this then one will not have to interfere with the proper functioning of the company.
In any career that one wants, there are ups and downs that are faced. Therefore, that is why a career plan is required so that the person can be able to come up with solutions to problems that they have to face. In the development of personality then one has to have in mind that their work will be affected by the activities that are outside and thus they can be reduced and worked on so as to get the required solution that is the job performance to increase with the right training and been ready to apply them so that the employer does not have to face problems. Therefore all the people that are to be employed have to get the required training at all levels so that they improve their performance.
