Creating high functioning teams is a goal that every manager hopes to achieve and as a result of that, different strategies can be used to make this possible. The first thing that needs to be done is laying a solid foundation for this to become possible. The foundation of trust is likely to be beneficial because of the manner in which different interests are going to come together and be harmonized. Objectives and goals must be made clear and each member should be aware of what role he or she needs to play when it comes to achieving them (Motacki & Burke, 2011). Rules and regulations must also be drafted so as to govern the manner in which the team operates. There are several facilitators that will make this possible at my workplace and they include effective organizational structures and chain of command. Barriers include resistance from employees and a conflict in interests of team members especially those who might feel that things are being imposed on them.
