The cultures that constitute a country are the most vital factors that can be used in the differentiation of society. This is inconsiderate of whether the regions in question are as remote as the Indian villages or as developed as most cities in industrialized Europe. It is important to note that people are differentiated by how they interact with one another and perhaps their demographic and physical disparities.

This paper is a comparison between the United States of America and Japan. It focuses on some major areas of comparison including cultures of the two different countries and their sense of space and group of interaction. First of all, it is important to note that both the United States of America and Japan have notable similarities as far as their cultures are concerned.

The most outstanding similarity is the fact that both countries are democratic states that elect their leaders in free and fare elections that are held periodically. Additionally, the two nations acknowledge the fact that their supreme laws are governed by the courts as opposed to dictatorship. It is important to mention the enriching cuisine that the two countries share.

However, there are quite several differences between the cultures of the two Eastern and Western nations. For instance, Japan is more or less a homogenous society. This is an implication that the Japanese are the majority in the region. As a result, most of the societal and national governance positions are held by the Japanese as a result of their population.

America, on the other hand, is a metropolitan state and its managerial positions are shared equally amongst all the races within the country. This has been championed by the fact that America faced a liberalized immigration policy that made it a heterogeneous society. It constituted quite a several nationalities, and thus its leadership is diversified in terms of races.

Statistics have since indicated that the citizens of America embrace individualism and informality whereas Japanese embrace formality. This is an implication that the citizens of the United States of America encourage rich people to become richer and suppress the poor in their quest to gain wealth.

For this reason, tycoons in the USA have appropriate schemes to enrich themselves further while the poor are given no chance to enhance their financial capabilities. On the contrary, Japanese are said to believe in the fact that those nails that tend to stick up are supposed to be hammered down.

This implies that the Japanese are more inclined to a concerted effort in development while the citizens of the United States of America believe that the creation of wealth is an individual’s effort. In other terms, the citizens of the United States of America are bound to reward and admire those people who rise above their general expectations while Japanese are bound to suppress such developments.

In conclusion, therefore, the two great nations of the United States of America and Japan are more or less similar in terms of their cultures and their sense of space and interaction. From the discussions above, it can be noted that the two countries have similar characteristics even though there are some notable differences in their cultures and sense of space. Therefore, it is important to note that despite the regional and cultural differences of the two nations, there can be found standard similarities amongst them.
