The Internet was developed in 1969 and utilizes a computer network to disseminate information and data (Ayres, 2021). Since then, it has come a long way, evolving into an international network of computers that allows people to articulate and convey news.
The World Wide Web
The World Wide Web generally refers to the entire Internet system; however, some people use this term to refer specifically to websites on the Internet (Ayres, 2021). On the other hand, the World Wide Web is also used to designate a global communications system that provides the capacity to send and receive information via the Internet.
Differences
However, the Internet and the World Wide Web are not equivalent. There are some differences between the two. First, the Internet is a transnational computer network system, and the World Wide Web is a global communications system. Second, the Internet enables people to share data and resources, and the World Wide Web provides the capability to send and receive information over the Internet (Ayres, 2021). Third, the Internet enables people to search for and download data from other devices, and the World Wide Web provides access to websites on the Internet.
Conclusion
In conclusion, the Internet and the World Wide Web are different. The Internet is an international computer network system that enables individuals to exchange information and resources.
