Opera may be defined as art through which musicians, singers, and actors work together forming a drama. Opera includes spoken words e.g. in acting, costumes, and scenery. Opera may also include things like dance. The performance of operas is usually done in opera houses and usually done together with an orchestra. Opera was first practiced in Italy and later spread to parts of Europe.
Don Giovanni opera is a story about a considerable nobleman who lives for his libido who is overconfident and seems to be breaking fundamental communal principles. Don Giovanni has a house servant Leporello who happens to be a con artist. In Don Giovanni’s attempt to prepare his capture, his swindling servant makes a humorous statement and includes it in the captured document. Don Giovanni creates a list of his rivals. At the end of the story, don Giovanni comes to know that justice could only be found through celestial reckoning (Deutsch, Otto & Mozart 102).
Don Giovanni’s opera is so great that I admired it so much. I consider it a work that is perfectly done, with great music and drama. When I first saw the scene I was swayed by the music which represented different moods of different characters and the occasions reflected in the story. This made me really feel some influence of exposure all over my life. From the very moment I set my eyes upon it, it became some kind of manifestation of harmonious and theoretical work. As a humble adoration and sincere appreciation, I can say that it worked well done and with no stains. The first impression that I got from the opera is that of being so addictive (Leo 115).
The reputation of the opera of Don Giovanni remains to be incomparable with any other as far as my conscience is concerned. This is with regard to a combination of different excitement in the music that is so much concentrated with lots of romance and reflecting every character’s portrait. The extreme melodies from the music indeed touch every audience listening to it as it expresses a feeling of humanity.
In addition to the fulfilling music, the story itself is very proficiently administered. The story is very noticeable as it shows diverse stages of human enthusiasm. It is not consistently dramatic but the characters are well represented and the paranormal part of the story is well catered for.
Apart from the music, the story, and the characters, the stage was well set, lively, and designed to provide enough space for every singer to show how well they could do the dance. The stage was also set in a way to enable every audience to view the whole scene. The whole scene was natural giving guests a chance to play out to the music.
In the story, Hausman preserves the dark tone of the opera every time and again. Gradus even if scared in some parts of the scene preserves his dignity.
In the opera, the men did much better than women. Too much emphasis was on Elza van den Heever who introduced her stage as a replacement. She created a lot of heat in the house with her booming voice of extensive variety (Schünemann 26).
The first expression of the opera Don Giovanni was indeed a very good experience as the whole scene was so fulfilling and touching. It brought a lot of exposure in my life and created some form of addiction to the opera. The opera is so much lucky as it has very good singers with vocal supplies who can convene the necessities of a dramatic work (Deutsch, Otto & Mozart 122). The first expression of an opera is indeed so addictive.
