Drugs and Alcohol
Drug and alcohol abuse is prevalent, affecting many young people and those of age. Drug addiction is a medical term for a habit of substance use that produces severe issues or suffering. I have had first-hand experience with this issue making it well known to me. No matter their location, all people have had indirect or direct experience with drugs and alcohol.
Points about the Topic
The topic will cover ways drug and alcohol use can be controlled among teenagers. Humans have utilized drugs and alcohol for many years, but not just adults have sought pleasure via illicit drugs. Drug addiction and medicine dependency are major issues for the teenage population.
Main Point, Focus, or Direction
The focus will be on conviction as the main way to reduce teenage drug addiction in the United States. Although many teenagers know the negative impact drugs may have on a person’s mind and body, the knowledge does not appear to dissuade teens from using them. Teenage drug and alcohol use and abuse are prevalent and may have catastrophic effects. Varieties of variables drive the emergence of the complicated worldwide illegal drug issue. Age, gender, and the pace of urbanization are among the sociodemographic factors that impact. So, the fundamental issue remains: why do kids reject the evidence, and what has to be implemented to prevent teen drug use? Numerous pictures in the media also represent drug and alcohol usage to make it seem that, although it is wrong, it is occasionally good.
Thesis statement
The thesis statement in this section uses the answers to the above question. The statement touches on the topic, main issues, scope, and direction. These include drugs and alcohol, teenager addiction, the United States, and conviction as the main ways to reduce the addiction. The thesis statement is:
“Conviction is a better way to reduce drug and alcohol addiction among teenagers in the United States.”
Decision Process of the Thesis Statement
The method began with brainstorming a well-known subject, drugs, and alcohol, then narrowing the theme. The subject may be used to examine a range of concerns, but the focus was on teens, notably those in the United States. The next stage was to take a stand on the subject. After further consideration, the conclusion was made that conviction would be the primary means of reducing drug usage. Including particular terminology in the thesis statement is critical to prevent misunderstanding. Finally, make a claim based on clearly given support.
The thesis statement answers the topical question to be studied, and the main work is to prove the claim made by the thesis statement. The thesis statement describes a whole essay like a subject phrase explains a single paragraph. It informs the reader of the writer’s intention to make a point in their essay, while the essay itself supports that point. It serves as a guidepost for the essay’s final destination (Gordon, 2022). When developing the thesis statement, it was critical to remember that the statement must give a meaningful and particular argument. A true remark is often not deemed debatable.
Possibility of a Different Topic
Drug abuse research papers may be written in any area, including pharmacology, criminology, sociology, medicine, psychology, history, and even statistics. This issue arises at the birth of humanity. As a result, the issue is too broad to cover in a single article. In order to do excellent research, it is necessary to restrict the focus.
