I have learned much about organizational leadership over the previous four weeks of this class through attending lectures, reading articles, scholarly journals, suggested books, and in-class activities. Regarding work ethic, I have learned a lot about my classmates and myself, as well as the amount of knowledge acquired and how I can apply the knowledge and gain A lot of knowledge to be used in the future. There are some aspects of the course that I could have done better; however, there are some that I did well. My progress in the class and how I can maintain or improve certain behaviors to attain the targeted results at the end of the course must be assessed on a self- and overall course-wide basis.
Overall, I am convinced that I did well in this course. I work hard to finish the course and submit my assignments on time. I make sure to read through all of my projects before the deadlines. But now that I can read the course content better, I feel more confident moving forward. It was simple to go over the course materials again, finish the tasks, and then end, but I needed to do more. Therefore, my objective for the remaining weeks of class was to read the suggested and compulsory course material actively. This made it easier for me to fully and deeply comprehend the course material.
Many theories and concepts have interested me and proved helpful for my forthcoming career in top management. For example, Maslow’s hierarchy of needs has always had a significant impact on me. This idea has been present in my earlier management coursework and my graduate work in business administration. After learning about the theory from the perspective of the organization’s leadership, I could better understand that as well. Another fantastic concept I learned about is how people control their emotions at work. Again, my school experience taught me an excellent idea: careers requiring emotional work that calls for surface and deep acting to increase the company’s profitability.
In the last four weeks of this course, I learned four crucial principles I may utilize immediately in my future work with theories and concepts. First, the dynamics of female team leaders come. Second, consider the makeup of effective teams. Third, the subject that genuinely impacted listeners was how couples and people affect organizations worldwide. Finally, the most recent unit and group leadership trends were observed in the worldwide team makeup (Cho, 2019). Eventually, an organization will grow strong if it invests resources in creating policies and processes that promote inclusion and diversity in teams.
Additionally, I have found that team morale is more excellent when employees feel that they will not face repercussions for their political or religious beliefs. These regulations include ones that prohibit discrimination, have open doors, and provide equal possibilities for advancement. Positive attitudes are more prevalent throughout a company when workers enjoy their jobs (Cho, 2019). As a result, employees are more loyal to the company and productive since they want to come to work. Overall, the previous four weeks of this leadership course have given me both intriguing and valuable material for my future leadership career.
Organizations that can successfully manage workplace diversity in the years to come will have a significant advantage in attracting and retaining talent. The benefits of having a diverse workplace are numerous. First, businesses hiring a diverse workforce have a wider pool of applicants, which can help them quickly identify more suitable employees. Conversely, companies that do not draw from various talented employees risk passing up on competent applicants and may struggle to fill critical positions, which drives up recruitment expenses (Cho, 2019). The coursework has been removed from the textbook and the online environment and implemented in the classroom through discussions and engagement. I now have a solid comprehension of the book and its application in the workplace, thanks to the course principles that have been involved thus far.
Sincerity dictates that I have a solid grasp of the course’s fundamental concepts. Although I might not have mastered each, there is a factual basis. Suppose I reflect on my reflection, I will eventually be able to integrate a sizable quantity of literature from articles the instructors have provided. In general, I believe that my understanding of organizational leadership is at a decent stage. Although I have given this course the majority of my best effort, there are undoubtedly some areas in Which I can improve. It is challenging to strike the right balance between work and education daily, but I have this course in particular.
In the future, I will try to keep up with the reading and other course material and set aside time to concentrate on the creation of my Ph.D. program. I also want to thank the professors and my fellow students for creating a supportive environment for studying throughout the previous eight weeks of this course. I appreciate you all and wish you luck in your future academic endeavors. I first struggled to comprehend some of the more complex chemical equations; however, I overcame this obstacle with a lot of practice and support from my classmates and professors. As a result, I am much more confident in my ability to understand and handle problems of this kind (Cho, 2019). One of the more difficult parts of this lesson when I first started was trying to comprehend some trickier chemical equations.
