Evaluation is a significant part of treatment to trace changes and understand whether these shifts are favorable or not. The American Association of Critical Care Nurses Mobility Level’s tool and the ABCDEF Bundle are evaluation methods. Accordingly, these tools are subjects for discussion regarding outcomes of early mobility in patients’ intensive care units. It is essential to understand how to evaluate these strategies’ success and share the success of results.
The survivorship of intense care unit patients and positive outcomes are general concerns of medical workers. There are four levels of patient mobility, from clinical passivity to active transfer (Schallom et al., 2020). The American Association of Critical Care Nurses Mobility Level tool is an approved effective method that enables nurses to increase their mobility level (Schallom et al., 2020). The effectiveness of this strategy is evaluated through the particular mobility protocol that follows the patient’s progress. Therefore, the tool might effectively help achieve a higher mobility level, and nurses might estimate the success through the protocol after the realization.
The second method is ABCDEF Bundle which provides information about a patient’s mobility according to five steps. This tool proposes the usage of special checklist worksheets, protocols, and flowsheets for tracing the symptoms and progress (Marra et al., 2017). Moreover, all methods foresee sudden symptoms, and it is logical to provide constant observation by nurses and through safety screens. Nurses should complete protocols and checklists to pass the list to the next nurse. It will enable clinical workers to follow the progress.
Overall, the two discussed programs might effectively evaluate changes in intense care units. It becomes apparent that nurses and medical workers should evaluate the success and trace the treatment through unique clinical lists. It is a method of sharing the findings with colleagues. The safety screen might also be a decent decision to monitor the patient’s condition. In sum, these actions can become an effective technique for evaluating changes.
