Project Background
The fact that many veterans returning from the war lose their ability to interact normally in a peaceful world is a tragic annoyance requiring the intervention of social services. War heroes leave a part of themselves on the battlefield and tend to be mentally stuck in the past, which prevents them from integrating into the present and deprives them of opportunities in the future. The goal of this project is to propose strategies for adapting former military personnel to a peaceful society in the most psychologically comfortable way.
Research Question and Objectives
First, it is easy to assume that people who have experienced shock on the battlefield develop a traumatic distrust of the world around them. It works almost on a subconscious level, so it is important for a social worker not to scare the veteran away from them. A competent approach is required to disseminate information about the work of this project. Veterans should know that by joining the program of the project, they will receive in return fate and all kinds of help.
Secondly, the psychological state is the main obstacle in the way a war veteran integrating into everyday society. Therefore, it is qualified psychologists who should be in the main team of project specialists. These should be scientists who are professionally able to work with situations of extreme shocks. Perhaps it would even make sense to attract specialists with fieldwork experience, but most importantly those who have already worked with soldiers. Thus, the main task of the project is psychological support, after which the veteran can be employed.
Project Design and Feasibility
In addition to psychological counseling, which should be at the most basic level and concern any former military man, voluntary rehabilitation should be stipulated. Sometimes cases of mental injury can be so internally painful that comprehensive assistance programs may be required (Wewiorski et al., 2018). But there are also external, physical injuries, after which it seems impossible to get a job. For disabled people, people who do not have the opportunity to attend normal work, there are special centers for adaptation and subsequent employment (Rudstam et al., 2018). In the event that employment still turns out to be impossible, they try to provide the veteran with the most comfortable and at the same time independent life (Collins, 2021). This project should establish constant communication with these centers, for advice and support in the most difficult cases. It is through the creation of a constantly communicating network of specialists that the design of the project is formed. The feasibility of a project is determined by the faith of professionals in their activities and a clear communication system.
Biographic Background
My consideration of the various shortcomings of the existing support system is dictated by my strong desire to create a project that would take into account all existing groups of veterans. The project should involve every person to whom it can provide assistance. Special attention should be paid to the fact that among female war veterans, the statistical impossibility of finding a job is higher (Greer, 2017). This problem could be solved by attracting personnel professionals who are contextually oriented in job selection matters. Personnel officers are able to assess the available practical skills and psychological inclinations of female veterans and choose a suitable profession for them. This requires clear coordination between the project and specialists, as well as a verified system of communication between the project representatives and the veterans themselves.
Budget and Budget Justification
Thus, for the integration of veterans into society, a team of professionals working on the principle of networking and consisting of qualified specialists is required. State support in this project is important both from a financial point of view and at the federal level, as this will raise more attention to the problem. The veteran must receive psychological counseling and their physical condition must be satisfied before employment can be considered. Through a practical, contextual approach, it becomes possible to find the ideal cell for almost any member of society who has fallen out of it.
Memo
The audience-oriented approach is identified in the application through the pathos of the message, which means that the human team should be involved in solving the problem. Implementation of the project requires attracting public attention to the problem. The project uses statistical data in order to prove the materiality of the problem of employment of veterans (Wewiorski et al., 2018). A statistical orientation allows the scale of the problem to be presented to the masses and to gain public support for the implementation of the project.
The genre-based approach of this application is based on a rhetorical presentation of the information material. First, the problem of the issue is substantiated, that is, the difficulties of employing veterans are demonstrated to raise the question of the best solution. It then proposes the initial necessary steps to approach the solution of the problem. Nuanced social groups are affected, which underlines the transition from general to special cases, in particular, female veterans (Greer, 2017).
The adaptation process and strategies for its implementation are expressed in the project through a consistent approach to the employment of veterans. The adaptive approach consists in psychological counseling that allows the former military to more effectively and painlessly integrate into society (Collins, 2021).
The design of the project will focus on maximum availability and acceptability. The program is aimed at a wide range of people and therefore the government initiative to support the project seems especially valuable (Rudstam et al., 2018). A bright design is required that can psychologically reach out to the consciousness of a person who needs help. The main objective of the project is expressed in its maximum reach to the audience, and the design and slogans of the project must reflect the utmost inclusiveness.
