I consider that global warming can be a moral issue because humans catalyze it through their actions; for example, direct pollution such as gases from cars, heating, water consumption. If people felt a moral responsibility to future generations for pollution and the harmful effects on the climate, they would attempt to preserve nature. At the same time, global warming is also a political challenge; many governments still have not embraced laws that could support the present climate (Harvey, 2018). That is, if the politicians were to advocate the preservation of the environment, they would encourage businesses completely to adopt alternative methods and careful usage of resources. Every citizen can influence the condition of the environment by their actions.
In order to prevent pollution, it is essential to buy fewer goods that have a negative impact on nature. At the same time, it is crucial to repair rather than abandon items that can be applied again. Indeed, the role of government in this process is also significant. For example, garbage collection and recycling strategies, transportation strategies, and energy modernization depend on administration (Harvey, 2018). Notably, moral and political issues together are stimulating the emergence of global warming.
The chemical aspects affecting climate change should be investigated to prevent the destruction of climate conditions. For instance, burning hydrocarbons such as coal, oil, and gas involve a chemical reaction that produces carbon dioxide (CO2) and water (H2O); this generates heat, which humans utilize for energy (Harvey, 2018). In addition to carbon dioxide, carbon monoxide, sulfur dioxide, nitrogen oxide, and hydrocarbons, including methane, are also found in the atmosphere (Harvey, 2018). Hence, it is valuable to explore the chemical reactions that adversely affect the climate and discover solutions to this problem.
