The other issue in global democracy is great disparity of member states over political issue such as terrorism, global climate and economic development. The other challenge in global democracy is on representation in global decisions. Wealthy countries seem to dominate on global decision while other countries take minimal roles. The author reviews democratic theorists’ approaches to the challenge and relate them to human rights. The author looks into compatibility of global democracy theories and human rights. The author makes an argument for importance of human rights in global democracy.
