The last several decades could be characterized by the increased attention given to the problem of illegal immigration. In this regard, the USA/Mexico border has become an ongoing issue because of the number of people crossing it every day illegally. However, the existing plan to build the wall could be considered too expensive and not very efficient. Instead, it is possible to use the latest technologies like satellites or unmanned aircraft to monitor the state of the border and note breakers. The secure border could also be considered one of the possible solutions to the problem of illegal immigration as it will help to control this very aspect. At the same time, people who managed to cross the border illegally should be deported because they break the law and do harm to the USA.

For instance, citizens of the state might suffer from the large income of immigrants because of the lack of jobs caused by the increased number of employees who are ready to work for lower wages. Moreover, the healthcare sector is one of the most problematic areas of the state nowadays, and people who arrive in the USA illegally slow down its development and cause budget deficit, as they should also be provided with all services in case they fall ill. However, they do not pay taxes and do not contribute to the improvement of this very sphere.

Besides, there is another important concern related to the issue of illegal immigration. The fact is that criminals and terrorists could use the same ways other people use and sabotage the functioning of the state. That is why secure border also means enhanced security and preservation of peace in the state. That is why by enforcing existing laws in the given sphere the state does not lose its identity. On the contrary, by keeping people out of the country, the government tries to save the American lifestyle, unique value system, and guarantee that all people living in the USA will be able to feel safe.

Furthermore, despite numerous appeals to stop this process as it does harm to communities, its positive effect on the society should be outlined. It is crucial to mind the fact that enforcement of laws in the sphere does not mean that people from other countries are not welcomed. On the contrary, they could come and live in the USA, but only on a legal basis. Only under these conditions, citizens will be able to feel secure. Moreover, the level of crime and terrorist threat will also decrease. These facts could not but have a great positive impact on the functioning of different communities and the quality of peoples lives.

Finally, as stated above, the problematic border also means that criminals could use loopholes to perform their illegal activity. However, we could not close the border completely as along with this category, many hardworking people arrive in the USA. For this reason, it is crucial to tighten control over the USA/Mexico border and improve cooperation between these states to be able to trace law breakers and stop their actions. Unfortunately, it is impossible to guarantee the leak-proof defense; however, the government should be ready to deal with the consequences of this decision as it is impossible to close the border completely and deprive hundreds of potential workers and taxpayers of shelter and hope for a better life.
